She kept staring out the window,scares the fire woukd come to the house.

He made the fire disapear, looking at the ground.

Nathan was always scolded about his infatuation with the outdoors. Tracking mud into the house and falling in lakes had never impressed his mum. Now that she had kicked him out, however, an almost childlike giddiness filled him as he approached the stream.

Nathan grinned in reply to the girl's greeting. She seemed kind enough, and he was rather desperate for human interaction. Dramatically bowing, he greeted her with a "Hello!"
