Paige looked over at Max with an odd look as he sat upside down. She picked up her mug again holding it with both hands as she looked from Max to Alex then back to Max,
"So you two were friends?" she asked.

Max "Yeah our parents knew each other and we became best of friends but his dad being your past leader said i was a bad influence, but didn't stop us we were still our destructive selfs, here a proof" he said as he rolled his sleeves and on his arms, mostly the top of his arm, were cut marks of daggers and one of a whip that would have been used to control horses but someone ended hitting him "Yeah never get on the leaders family's bad side but his hard to get angry I would say"

Paige nodded taking another sip of her tea as she looked at the coffee table nervously chewing the inside of her lip unsure of what else to say.

Max held his stomach as it grumbled again "Can I check if I have food in my bag I haven't eaten all day... pleeeease" he said looking at Paige with puppy eyes

Paige thought for a minute before nodding, "Its in the guest room down that hall." she told him.

As he got up and started walking towards where Paige told him he threw her the poison bottle he had hidden from her before "The bottle I had a minute ago poison I made in my laboratory" he said then sprinted out of her sight quickly coming back a chocolate bar in his mouth and two bags of chips in his hands still with puppy eyes as he kept the chocolate in his mouth

Paige caught the bottle and looked at it as Max explained what it was and set it down as he came back with chips and chocolate, "What were you doing with poison?"she asked with a frown

Max sat next to her giving her a bag of chips and putting the other one in his lap he ate a bit of the chocolate before answering "transform it into gas or into grenades and use it as weapons, that one will make someone not able to see for a couple of minutes" he said as he took it back and placed it back in his jacket

"But what were you doing with it." Paige set the bag of chips down on the table.

Max "Figuring out if I could make it last longer and maybe debating if I should have had opened it next to you..." he said looking at her a bit scared
