Owen let out a nervous laugh as he agreed. He then heard his sister outside.
"Here, this will take you down to the courtyard. You may get a few leaves in you hair, though," he said. Owen didn't want to get Mia in trouble. He moved over a rug that was on the floor and it revealed a secret hatch. He opened it and there was a ladder.
"You should stop by sometime. But hurry--I think Jessica is about to come in!"

I smiled up at Owen as I climbed down the ladder. "Thank you so much Owen, and I'm sorry if you get in trouble." The last thought made me hurry. I didn't want trouble. Especially since I wasn't even supposed to be in this kingdom. I could hear Jessica calling her siblings. Better go. I quickly exited the courtyard and went back to my room in the stables. "At least it doesn't smell bad in here I suppose..."
