After Ara had finished with the meat I stepped towards it before glancing up at Ara for permission.

[Hajime.]

Ara flicked his tail, as if to say yes. He shook himself and yawned. His belly was full, Playful One was learning well and the partner-of-his-heart-and-soul was safe. Ara wondered where the cub his soul-partner liked was. And Duke. Ara missed Duke. He hoped he would be back by Light, along with Erik and Great One and the female cub.
But for now, he was happy.

Megan sighed, "I..." she winced as he tended to her wounds, she closed her eyes, trying to ignore the pain, it worked for a small amount of time, after a while she open her eyes. She just looked away, refused to say anything about her past, "Hi," she said, "There, I said something."

[Hajime.]

Lieŕan gave a grim smile. As he reached behind him to grab the bandage and birch-bark strips, he explained:
"You don't need this, but the forest can be a dangerous place if one displeases it." He wrapped the bandage lightly around the neat stitches, securing it with a knot. He then pulled the birch-bark strips around tightly, but left space for the stitches to breathe. Lieŕan stood up and admired his handy-work, before rummaging around in the cupboards, putting the needle and string away and offering some food to Megan.

Ara stiffened as he pointed his ears and nose in the direction of the clear-hard-shiny-square that was open a bit. He smelt the Traitors. He didn't mind Annoying One - Shay - so much now, for Lieŕan had made friends with her soul-partner. But the others he did not like. He kept his muzzle shut, though.

[Asty, do you think Lieŕ should fancy Meg now or still like May?"

Meg turned down the offer of food, "Thank you," she said, although it sounded a lot like drop dead, she still intended it to be a thanks.

Shay looked around for Meg, Willow licked Shay's forehead in a motherly-sisterly gesture, We will find her, little one, but for now, we must rest. Willow said, looking up at the falling sun, and the raising moon.

[Do you mind if Lieŕ could be good friends with Meg, then, and Ara Shay?]

Lieŕan sat down next to Megan and munched on a carrot he had grown himself. He preferred not to steal, or even to go near the modern human society. He threw the end of the carrot to Ara, who chewed it thoughtfully.
"So..." Lieŕan began. "How come you got attacked? Where's your soul-partner?" He asked, warmed by Megan's thank you and in a friendly mood.

Ara snapped up the orange-ground-fruit Lieŕan had tossed him with his long-flesh-paws. Ara ignored the traitors and Shay, and crawled over to Playful One. He nibble-greeted her, as a pack would any of their members. He sat by her, and wagged his tail, resting his head on his paws.

I stared at the ground deep in thought hardly noticing Ara's greeting.

"I was just walking aimlessly around, when I got attacked by a mountain lion and i had left my dagger at the house and yeah, Shay had ran off to find my sister." Meg said, not wanting to mention her sister.

[Hajime.]

Lieŕan sat still, staring at his hands. He took a deep breath.
"I understand if you don't want to tell her, but if you see your sister soon, tell her that if she comes near Erik, Hope, Lioŕ, Justice, Lisa or their soul-partners, then I'm not going to be friendly. Neither will Ara. I apologise if this makes you upset, or angry, but... I hope you understand." He looked over at her and smiled uncertainly.

Ara pushed his wet-brown-nose against Playful One's cheek, and whined.
What is wrong? He asked, wagging his tail reassuringly.

Lioŕan leaned against a tree with a humph. He and Illeria had been searching all day for Lieŕ and Ara, and now it was night. He chewed his lip. Part of him was angry, part of him was anxious. They had tracked the pair's every step with Illeria's wolf-senses, and had become especially worried when they'd found blood on a tiny ledge near the bottom of a ravine, and when there'd been a big fight between Ara, Willow, Lieŕan and Maya. Lioŕan suspected they'd fallen out, and didn't have any plans whatsoever about getting back together. He sighed, and Illeria licked his hand. Their best chance was going back to Lieŕ's and Ara's cottage, but it was night, they were tired, and they needed rest.

Illeria worried about her pack-brother, but she had sensed that he had become very mature, and knew that he was pack-leader. Illeria didn't mind, of course. A pack should never be angry to each other. She padded ahead, her blonde fur rippling. She wagged her tail reassuringly at the partner-of-her-heart-and-soul. Her shiny-gem-blue eyes gleamed in the light of the big-round-bright in the Up. She started for the pack-sister's and Phoenix's big-den, with Lioŕan not far behind her, padding in that strange way of the tailless' on their two hind legs, crashing noisily through the Forest.
