Magnus woke up after a short nap. He hadn't fallen asleep on a bench in the park like this -on his back with one arm and a leg hanging limply on the outside, in the middle of the winter- on purpose, but listening to Bach on repeat was just so calming. He took of his headphones with cold hands, the classical music still playing on a fairly high volume. Then he remembered; his belongings. He shot up from his awkward lying position, and begun to search all his pockets. Getting all his stuff stolen was the last thing he wanted to do on the first day of his visit in Manhattan. Cigarettes still lay in his black coat's pocket. Wallet in the second one. He looked under the bench. Suitcase, also still there. He had been so lucky that he just wanted to laugh. But he lit a cigarette instead, held it between his lips and inhaled two quick times before sending the smoke up into the air.The shifter had arrived in Manhattan just this morning, and had settled for a quiet-looking park to rest just for a couple of minutes.

He grabbed his suitcase and decided to go for a walk, to get the warmth back in his body. The park seemed more crowded than it had done earlier that day. And with all the kinds of weirdoes he saw, the fact that he hadn't woken up broke and strapped puzzled him even more.

I bit my nails nervously as I leaned back against the bench,trying to ignor all of the supernaturals that were in the park right now. There was the name eater,and the couple on the bench next to me seemed a little....off. From my position in the chilly park,I could also see someone else waking up from his position on a bench. It always amazed me how people could possibly sleep on those overnight,in the freezing cold and on cold hard wood or metal. Seriously,how do you not wake up with a stiff back and no sleep? That was the case for me at least,and one of the reasons why I had a job and an apartment. I glance over at the guy again and decide to watch him out of the corner of my eye for now,just to be safe. I

"Woah, take me out to dinner first," Iggy said, concealing his panic with a humored tone, "or at least let me look at the appartment before you start talking about putting me on the bills, yeah? I'll come over there and we can see if this'll work. Then we can hammer out all the details. Landlord stuff and all of that." He knew he'd have to give her the name sooner or later. At least humans were almost always satisfied with the first and last. He'd be able to keep the middle, and maybe even his full first name, to himself. It'd be uncomfotably close, but he needed a place to stay. "So I'll come over noon tomorrow and we'll get things fixed up. Yeah? Yeah."
He glanced behind him, taking in the scene again. Nothing alarming. However the park was starting to get busy. Already there was another guy wondering around. He looked over at the clump of bushes that the vampire's body was hiding in. Though his eyes weren't good enough to see the shoes sticking from it, he still snickered knowing that there was a body there that could be found by anyone.

He coughed a couple of times. Darn it, he might catch a cold now. But he had other things to worry about, like the feeling that he was being watched. Without making any scene out of it, he looked carefully around in the park. There were two people with a dog. A big one too. He made sure to keep a fair distance between them as he walked past.
And then there was a shady fellow by the phone. And this black-haired girl, who also seemed pretty shady.
He hadn’t seen them somewhere around before? No, it was probably nothing to worry about. He cleared his throat and clenched on to his suitcase.

Eevee chuckled "Sorry, he just wants to know who's interested. "Well, I have to go, so see you tomorrow?" She asked. It was getting late, and she wanted to eat before she went to sleep.

"Yeahgreatsoundsgoodseeyatomorrowbyyyee," Iggy rattled off, hanging up quickly before she could change her mind and insist on getting his name over the phone. Telling just her would be bad, but here? Where anyone could overhear him? That'd be a nightmare. He shuddered before spinning on his heel, pondering his next step.
He plucked at his worn suit jacket, looking it over. He had been sleeping in alleyways for a few weeks now. His clothes looked rough. He looked like a hobo, not great for first impressions. He needed a shower, also to wash his clothes. He spotted the new guys in the park. Suitcase... Probably new around town... Perfect to ask for directions! He took a moment to appreciate the chilly air before he strolled over with a grin.
"Hey friend! Can I ask ya a question?" he asked exuberantly, moving up beside him and putting his hands in his pockets.
