"I'm not entirely sure," Luna admitted. She gave the question some thought, now more curious as to why the meeting was called because Margaret had brought up the question that had been nagging from the back of her mind. "My best guess is about the flood and the state of the Pack, and to see if everyone's alive and okay. I hope nobody died.... But I'm sure plenty were injured." She glanced back at Mila and Ferrys. "And I suppose they'll come with, even though neither of them are part of the Pack," the girl said in a low whisper, though she was certain the two could still hear her if they were paying any attention. She let out a deep sigh and went to a mirror, combing her fingers through her hair. It took quite a few minutes, but she successfully detangled most of it. Sadly she had no hairbrush or clothes with her, all of them probably washed away by the flood, and she had no time to shower. Ashton would want them to be at the meeting as soon as they could be.
Jay winced in pain as Katie helped him up, glad it was her who'd helped him instead of Matthew, then immediately feeling guilty about it. His head started to swim, and the ringing in his ears increased until it was all that he could her. He clenched his sightless blue eyes shut against the pain and noise until they went away, for the most part at least. The Healer knew standing up would have a similar effect. "Thanks," he mumbled. The male touched the back of his head, acknowledging the bump there, then felt down his legs, first the less injured one, then the one with the big gash in it. Both were warm to the touch where the wounds were, and crusty around the edges with blood, but they'd all scabbed over nicely. He bent down a bit to sniff at them- no infection. The herbs had worked. He silently thanked TigerLily, then wondered where she was. Though there was no time to look for her now. Ashton had called a meeting, and it was his duty to attend. Afterward he could raid the Human Camp's medical supplies to patch himself up better, and to give Luna a more practical sling for her broken arm. The teen would go around camp and find out if any others had been injured and then help them if they had. "There aren't any extra clothes laying around, by any chance, are there?" He knew the possibility was very slim, and he didn't want to go ask any humans for some clothes, either. Too many questions would be asked. He started up, leaning heavily on Katie and Matthew as he did so. "Sadly, and I'd rather not say this, one of you is going to have to help me get to that meeting.... And it's quite a way's away. I apologize now for that. Katie, are your ribs alright today? Because I think Matthew would be better off helping me."
Ferrys laughed at Mila's pointing and insisting that he had crossed the line, quite literally. "Well love, you couldn't expect me to stay over there the whole time, especially to wake you up. What would you have me do, yell across the room at you to get your arse out of bed?" he suggested. "Now that wouldn't be very gentlemanly, now would it, love? Anyway, you should probably hurry and get ready. I'm not sure if any of you girls I'll be changing," he now addressed Margaret and Luna as well, "But I'll step outside just in case. I'll wait until you all come out before attending the meeting." The male did what he said he'd do and opened the cabin door, stepping outside and closing it behind him. He sat down on the steps, scenting the cool morning air and listening to the birds chirp as he waited. His favorite season would be coming to an end soon enough, and by then he'd be off to Scotland with the rest of the Wilshire Pack. Unless....
Zoey let go of her hand with a smile, having a bit of trouble getting out of TigerLily's strong grip. She pondered the question for a few moments. "Well, I'm really not sure why I'm so happy. I usually am, though. I'm not quite sure what the meaning of life is, but I'm happy to be living!" she replied at last. The girl turned to Charlotte. "Oh good, you did decide to get up. I let you sleep in long enough, missy. Can't have you sleeping the day away. What would be the fun in that?" She gave Charlotte another one of her bright, cheery smiles. "Then you'd miss out on all the fun." The human went back to TigerLily. "So, what's wrong? Why are you sitting on our cabin steps?" she asked with the slightest tilt of her head, eyes sparkling with curiosity.
