She felt a pang if guilt spread through her after Mack answered. "I'm sorry. " she said gently.

Mack
"No it is okay."he sighed. "It would has been harder on Hope."he nodded. "So lets try out our boards!"he smiled as he tried to change the subject. He ran into the water. No matter how much he tried to say it wasn't that hard on him it was. He tried not to think about it. He started to give instructions to surf to Kelli.

Just asking, what happened with Mia?))

Mack asked her to go and surf also. She should be in the water already or coming in...)

Kelli
She sighed at the rules, no matter how much she wanted to disobey them, she still followed them. "Can you show me how, first Mack?" she asked rather hesitantly.

Mack
"You betcha."he nodded. He started to paddle out. Then he saw a huge wave coming his way! He started to surf it! He went under the tunnel and touched the water. He laughed. The water sparkled in his hair.

Kelli
She gasped at the sight of the huge wave, she was about to call out a warning, but Mack had already ridden the wave! She cheered and her smile stretched from ear to ear. His performance gave her a boost of confidence.

Mack
After he had finished ridding it he paddled back to Kelli. "You ready?"he nodded. "Look a wave paddle!"he yelled as he pushed her deeper into the water.

Kelli
She nodded in reply, since she was too excited to speak. She paddled at Mack's command. She remembered the second move Mack did, push up. She our her arms back onto the board spand she pushed up. She landed in a squatting position, and stood up. She put out her arms for balance and she smiled in her accomplishment. She leapt off the board to stop the ride.

"Nice you are better than me!"he grinned as he gave her a thumbs up and he approached her. "You want to surf more or make the tree house or hut?"he asked. He looked back at a pile of logs he had collected that might even have more than he needed. Maybe he could make something out of the leftovers.
