I yawned as a dim streak of light glowed through the window. I sleepily checked the clock seeing that it was still quite early. I decided to stay in bed. After a few minutes I gave up, it was impossible to fall asleep again once I woke up. I should remember to close the curtains so I could sleep longer... I turned off my alarm, so that it wouldn't ring later, and changed into new clothes. My look was always the same, but I did wear a variety, so today I decided to go with a dark purple shirt. It looked a little chilly outside, since it was early morning, so I decided to tie a black sweater around my waist in case I got cold. I quietly sprinted to my locker, to get out my books for my first classes.

"How would that work..?" I questioned.

I was about to reply, but I saw a faint glow out of the corner of my eye. I looked down to see my all nub glowing and beginning to lenghthen. "There's no need." I grinned. "Its morning! Its a new day for a new tail!" I squeeled in excitement as it grew longer and longer. When the tail part was finished, it was about four inches longer than my other one. I dropped my smoke for a second, remembering how the blade came in. I covered my eyes before wincing at the feeling of pain from about five inches away from the tip up. I peeked open my eye to see my silver blood spilling, but somehow moving up into the air. I watched in awe as it curved forward, creating a longer, deadlier blade than what I had before. I grinned widely. "My tail!" I exclaimed.

I grudgingly slipped out of bed when the first light peeked in. When news had gotten to me about the dance or formal or whatever it was called, I was a bit skeptic. But soon after I received a message from Rose, asking if I was as excited as she was. At that moment I knew I had to go. I yawned to myself and drug myself to my closet and pulled on fresh clothes, having taken a shower last night after the club. I grumbled, grabbed my hat, and made my way to the mechanics room.

I gaped in shock. "It's beautiful.."

I purred in pride at the bright silver blade. I look at her with wide eyes as I continued to grin.

"That is amazing.." I blinked a few times.

I giggled and ran my thumb over my tail. "Yeah," I smiled widely. I turned so I faced her completely, my tail away from her. I tested it slowly, twitching it to the right, then the left, pulling it up to arch over my back before whipping it back down. I laughed in joy. "It works!"

I laughed. "No wonder. They usually do."

I stuck out my tongue at her. This was fun, just being with someone....and a tail.

I laughed. "Can you teach me how to use the obstacle course?"
