Deryn sighs once more, looking over her shoulder. She should probably return to the castle, seeing as what has been going on. "You've slacked enough Deryn..." she mutters to herself under her breath. Turning around, she walks over to where she teethered her hourse, a jet black mare she named Nightshade, to head back.

She rolled her eyes at the two and made a fire quickly. She looked at them. "Happy?", she asked.

She sighed and walked around outside, feeling practically useless at the moment. Sure, they had gotten the dragon and practically broken his rider, but what now? The war would go on and they would probably die. The demon sighed and leaned against a wall, standing in the gardens. Dovev had said that he loved someone, but all the time she knew him, it did not seem so. Was it the king he loved? Because he seemed more like a loyal dog to the king....

He lay stretched out across the floor, his dark armor melted the same color of his scales. Pitch black. Opening his eyes, he noticed the female, and he huffed to get her attention. You are troubled. The old dragon observed, eyes nver waivering from her small form.

She looked at the large dragon when he huffed and at his comment she scowled. "Yes.", she agrees and looks at him. "Why do you need say?", she asked, not sure what stating the obvious meant. She felt uncomfortable under his gaze and shifted.

She looked at him, thinking over whether she should tell him or not. "i guess.... I guess I feel useless. And anxious about this war. And I am also trying to figure something out. I don't believe I am necessarily sad..", she said. She was so confused, she really didn't usually feel emotions. All she knew is what was told to her and these new 'feelings' confused her.
