"I-Im 14!" He said a bit too loud. His jaw dropped a bit when Marcus continued. "Y-Yes Sir...a-anything for you..." He spoke through clenched teeth. He knew Marcus wasn't joking when he said he was going to make his life a living hell. Well, it already was one now that he was with Marcus, but he couldn't complain.

(Sorry Chatty, I thought I posted for Archibald. A lot on my agenda have been piling up as of late. Finals, Fan fictions, novels, manga, trying to get a job. sometimes they over lap and I think I did something I hadn't yet. Thank you for saying Archibald and remarking, I would have been waiting for another post from Britt. I'll keep Archibald moving for you)

Archibald Duke

Britney Criswell. I turned to my classroom, "Britney has demonstrated a good debater today. The best student I've had a pleasure of teaching in years. She was good... but not great." I paused, "You still have many flaws in your opening statement, and had your opposition had not falter on his retort and response to your opening statement, There would've been many more. No one is perfect Mrs. Criswell." I looked to her with dark eyes. Her argument for Aberrants and Sepers was very defensive yet knowledgeable. She is either one of those people who support their kind in society, or she is one of them. "You may return to your seat," I pointed back to the spot in the back of the lecture hall. Right behind the giant man. "Now that you have all got a taste... of a poor man's debate, we shall dive right into the mechanics and rules of a proper debate, starting with the opening statement." I begun the actual lesson. Foulness lingered as I paced back and forth at the front speaking words that half of these ingrates didn't understand or misunderstood.

"The opening statement is your anchor. is your weapon to attain attention. You must have complete confident that your first words will attain your audience, your opposition and anyone one. In debate competition, they are to grasp the judges attention. One poorly chosen word, like think, believe, or hope will instantly destroy your argument." I eyed everyone, "Taking what we experienced in todays debate between Criswell and... him... you can compare both as being equally folly. He, though avoiding weakening words, had used false information to start off his statement. Aberrants, chaotic may their powers be, most do not have control over their powers. Those that do mingle well in our society today, even though many humans disagree." I avoided included who disagreed with the fusion of humans and supernatural. "Criswell had performed what I entitle as Audience Empathy, It's primarily in chapter eighteen of your textbooks. Audience Empathy, to sum it up right here and now, addresses the crowd of the debate, and grabs onto emotions. the purpose is to have the audience think about the debate in a personal level and draw out feels. However, there are times you cannot use audience empathy, and that would include your opening statement."

I continued this lecture for a while. ten minutes before stopping for a break and taking a sip of water. I've stood at the front, "Any questions on Opening statements, and audience empathy?" I asked, looking around for any hands.

I took my seat and listened as Mr. Duke went over the weak spots in both me and the boys arguments. I could pretty much get what he was saying about it. Though it was tiring to try and comprehend on what he was telling us and fully focus on it I somehow managed to do it. I had to agree with what he said for the most part though I hoped he didn't mean I had done that when he said, "However, there are times you cannot use audience empathy, and that would include your opening statement." Because thinking back I remembered my opening statement to be something along the lines of asking that boy if he had facts to back up one of his claims. I said nothing though as I did not want to assume a.k.a. making an A**. out of U. and ME. Yeah I learned that play on words or whatever you want to call it a while back. When he asked if anyone had any questions I could think of nothing and so I sat quietly and hoped he would tell us to read or something. Reading was so nice. No matter how boring what you read is it always passes the time faster than listening to a professor lecture. I looked at the clock on the wall forgetting for a second I had a watch. The class was less than half-way through and already I felt drained of any energy. And to think I still had three more classes today. Well now I know why all the college kids I know are always so tired. Didn't most professors give out tons of homework too? Oh god this is going to be hard. I glanced around the room and hoped no one was going to ask any questions. A floating thought came into my head as I tried to focus on Mr. Duke again. That thought was that I would probably be having a lot of late nights from now on.

[Btw, you should know that if you haven't seen me respond to a post interacting with my character for more than a day like 24 hrs. there is probably something extremely serious preventing me from doing so. Like a power outage. Or death. Just kidding but seriously, there isn't alot to keep me from posting, lol. I have practically the opposite of your lifestyle, Dyrezz lol. I barely even know what the word busy means, lol. But I do get it. ]

(...I am so mad right now due to my personal life I cannot even think straight for a proper response right now. GAH!! Does anyone else every have that one person in their life with that 'precognitive' sense in a conversation - where they know what you are going to say long before you even say it and interrupt you mid-sentence with their response? cause I do. and it freaking burns me up with anger and hatred! GOD I HATE THOSE PEOPLE IN REAL LIFE! They already make me feel like I have no real voice in my household, especially since they're older, but even worse is when he pulls it off with me, I'm getting steamed, telling him enough and try to walk away before I want to rip his head off, meanwhile, he's trying to tell me to stay and to talk about a stupid ottoman being moved and it felt like he was accusing me. He was telling me "oh, well, I wasn't trying to sound like I was accusing you"... Like it matters now idiot, it seemed like you were accusing me, telling me you weren't accusing me isn't going to change the past feeling of accusation, only change my current feeling of wanting to punch your teeth in... GAWD!! sorry for the rant, now I can think straight.

Archibald Duke

No one seemed to have questions, but it still seemed too early to dismiss the class, even for orientation classes. I don't care what other professors do in their class time, I try to use very second I can to get these students every gram of knowledge in those tiny brains of theirs. "Okay, so it looks like we have a few minutes left of class. I would like everyone to read the first chapter on Opening Statements techniques and strategies and have an opening statement on whether Summer or Winter is the better season and bring it for Wednesday's class (I am assuming this day is Monday since it's the start of the RP). I am expecting at least three hundred words, that will get you between a one-to-two minute opening statement. It does not matter which season you choose to be your favourite, or if you even do two statements for both seasons. I am merely marking the quality of the speech. IF you read the chapter, you will know what to avoid while writing, what to address, and how to flow your words." I gave a last moment description of the lecture to class, "Oh, and final announcement, I am looking for anyone who is looking for some recognition as a Teacher's Assistant," Every year I need to make this dumb requisition for the department. "If anyone wants to sign up to being the TA for this class, you can come register during my office hours," I began packing my things and leaving the room. Thee moment my foot left the room, the clock hands ticked right to position marking the end of the lecture.

I really hate debate. Politics. that is all a debate really is, is knowing the political scheme of society. I don't know whether to be disgusted that I am the one stuck with lecturing debate, or that my colleague is working in that underground facility researching phantasmal supernatural phenomenon. That same facility which is researching ancient robotics and genetically splicing human DNA... just a few more weeks ad the board will inform me whether my research will be accepted or rejected. I passed three students in the hall who looked like they were distracted in their own world. Two red-heads - male and female - and a blue haired guy. I walked by ignoring them. They weren't in my class lecture list this semester - they would've made it to the lecture today if they did (unless Midnight DOES have a debate class, or if Simon does).

The girl had tried to lunge at Grace but due to the lack of power she had, she fell onto her hands. Power Percentage 25%. She quickly tried to get back up, looking at the cinder blocks ... she knew that her weight capacity would be under if she let her power percentage drop any further, meaning in turn that she would be unable to move due to the weight holding her back. She tried to drag the chains on her ankles forward, now moving much slower then earlier.

I flipped to the chapter Mr. Duke instructed us to read and glanced at the page. The words are like this small! and the pages are huge too. As Mr. Duke tells us are homework assignment I quickly write it down so I won't forget. Three-hundred words by Wednesday?! He does know most of us have THREE other classes to study for, right?! Sighing quietly I go back to the book. Wondering if I can expect to finish the chapter before the class ends I go to the table of contents. My jaw drops as I find the chapter on Opening Statements is twenty-two pages ,cramed with itty bitty words, long. Ugh! I had just enough time before the class ended to skim and outline two pages. Suddenly I know exactly what college is, a big deep sigh, a roll of the eyes, and a wide yawn all mixed together. My eyelids felt heavy until Mr. Duke mentioned being his TA. I had many questions but I asked him none of them not wanting to look a fool. Is there an age or credit requirement for a TA postion? If not what exactly would I do? Do you get paid? Cause if so I could defintelty wok with that. However the most important question no one could really answer. How much of Mr. Duke's extracurricular activites would I get to see or hear about? It all depended. Mr. Duke could be the It's not your bussiness type. It wasn't like me and him were real chums or anything anyway. Overall the annoucement about the need for TA had frazzled me. I had no idea what to do about it or what not to do about it. I guess I would just have to think about it some more. In the menatime I had some classes to get to. Walking out of the room I headed for my next class. The day seemed to be going really slow so far but hopefully with one of my favorite subjects, Compostion up next the day would wizz by. Or at least speed up a bit.

[Yeah, venting can be helpful but so can writing XD Anyway there's no need to apologize for ranting It's fine. If I really disliked it I could just not read it, right? lol. Btw I was thinking about making Britt do a time skip becasue I really don't think it neccesary to go into much detail about any of her other classes and I would like to have her and Leslie find a place to rent together fairly quickly as I believe it would be lots of fun to write! Maybe even healing for Britt eventually XD I hoping they get to be pretty good friends obviously but it will take time, lol. Anyway... I guess I'm done talking, lol. I know I know I say lol alot. *rolls eyes*... lol.]

(I'll give Dance two more days before moving on with Hikyro, and Tinystep the same time for Jacek before I move on him too. I am sorry but other people are also affected by those characters. I will approve Brittney and Leslie's time skip to find an apartment, or other home, mostly because I believe other storylines will catch up in the timeline. Currently I think that Grace and Nanako are ahead in the timeline anyways.

Anyways, I do not know what to do with Archibald right now, so I'll continue with Daina (not Diana, silly Black-Cat, lol) anywho:

The boy chuckled, but shook his head politely. "sorry, but i don't think your gonna get much outta my ma', if you wanted to get information, you should have gone to the research lab back home - i think it was about 2 stops back from the next one we're gonna arrive in? my mom works in a different unit and i don't know much else about it - i tend to argue a lot with her, but i'm doing this competition thing as a favor for my brother." he said simply.

Two stops back, maybe I'll stop by on my way home. He seemed like a good guy... But so does a thief until he's walking way with your watch, wallet, and pants... scratch that pants... it's a television joke. "You're an honest guy, has anyone told you that?" I asked then I decided to verify, "I know you're up to something, because Echo is afraid of you, He would only be afraid of you if he mmet you before. I doubt you were on this train before that last station because He bumped into me with the biggest grin and asking for chocolate. next, he only got shifty and afraid after seeing someone on the rooftop of our caboose. And he's uncomfortable with you up there. In addition after he reacted to you opening the door between carts, you jumped on top of the train, you had no reason to do so unless you were guilty of something, or are incredibly untrusting to other people," I stood between Kakori's vision from the rooftop and Eiko who stood behind me. "Finally, I don't recall seeing you on the platform, in fact, I had only seen people disembark the train, other than myself, no one boarded from the last stop... I don't blame them, that stop is low traffic this time of day..." I was rambling my observations now, I needed to get to the point, "So now you leave me with bartering and blackmail what I want to know, since you said your mother was inaccessible without heavily backtracking, I'm going to ask you to tell me what I need to know without any fussing. If I have to climb up there after you to get my information...needless to say, I am not afraid of heights." I raised my eyebrow in challenge to this man above me. Of course I wasn't 100% positive that this man was actually bad nor good. and my observations were complete bluffs. A deadman's deal. Two-card high in poker. meaning I had nothing other. If I could make Kakori - or whoever he is - feel cornered, he might spill the beans; I've seen it done on television all the time.

Those two charries of yours are too good to keep away from the active rpers for more than a week XD Thanks for allowing the time-skip. I was thinking like a time-skip of maybe twelve hrs. or so for her to call Leslie and then she'll go to bed in that post. In this case her next post would start with her waking up and depending on Leslie, hopefully she'll be getting ready to look for a place to rent ]

(Oh thank God, I thought I was going to have to sit here and wait for Midnight forever. I've been wanting to RP but none of the people I'm interacting with are replying.
SkyArrow still hasn't responded to Leslie's post, so I'm not really sure what to do. I could end the conversation and have Leslie pack up and go home, but I feel kind of guilty since I don't know if SkyArrow is going to post again or not. :L)
