"I sure don't need you." Jay said in an answer to Felix. He shrugged hearing Justin. "Yea, nice. Be the hero, save the world, slay a dragon, get the hand of a princess, sounds nice, it does, but I'd just like to have a choice you know, it would be nice if someone just asked me what I want, when I was a prisoner all I heard were commands, do this, do that and basically don't do anything, only breathe when we let you, and here I am at the rebel hideout and what do I hear, do the tests, be the rebel, save the world, lets go jay, I'm just saying it would be nice if I had a choice you know, if someone cared what I want, they don't even have to agree with me, just the gesture alone would be enough, just saying." He muttered it all under his nose with a blank voice, while walking around the room, admiring the paintings on the walls and just checking out the surroundings. It seemed that he wasn't talking to anyone in particular or maybe just to himself.
Jes frowned and did a little sigh. "Really? Kid? I don't like it." While walking Nicolai wasn't paying much attention to the surroundings. The rebels already knew the way to the government building so he didn't need to try and memorize it. He looked either ahead of himself or at Michael. "Can't I have something cooler? Like... the mad technician. Or captain awesome." He laughed sweetly. 'Why do I want to work in the military base?' he repeated in his thoughts. He just gave him a whole speech about why he wants to work there. Was he supposed to repeat that? No, Michael probably expected a more honest answer. "Well, I think that at the government you're working to change the world to be a better place. I'd like to help out." His blue eyes framed with long, black eyelashes looked honest when they met Michael's gaze.
Annabelle sent the test subject a warm smile. "Splendid" she said. "It's wonderful, that you're staying positive! A healthy mind is a healthy body and that's what we need." She moved closer to the cage to have a better look at the boy. He seemed relatively harmless. "Well, it depend." she said in an answer to his question. "Nothing is free in this world. I hope you don't expect me to just obey your every command?" She chuckled softly. "But we could make a trade. I'll give you what you want if you give me some information. Tell me about the rebels. Just, everything you know. Go wild." She smiled to him, encouraging him to speak.
What a beautiful, beautiful thing
to be able to dream
when you're not asleep.
