I cantered through the forest, weaving and twisting in between the ancient, sturdy trees. I heard people talking on the edge of the forest and silently walked over to investigate. I felt a sinking feeling in my stomach. I knew those voices. Why did I know those voices?

I bowed my head and soared away, riding over the thermals in the cool spring breeze. I noticed a few brooding clouds in the distance. Then I saw, at the edge of the forest, a horse, a lion, and a human. I hovered in mid-air, then dived down, landing in a nearby tree.

I shifted into a human when I noticed a familiar raven land in a tree right next to me, causing the leaves to rustle as nd alerting me of its presence. I nodded a greeting to it. "Is that Fluss and Josaline?" I hissed.

I shifted into human form and leapt down from the swaying tree. I nodded and crept forwards, peering through the tree trunks to confirm the strangers' identities. I suddenly strode out, my copper hair streaming behind me. I halted in front of them, smiling. "Well look who's here," I said.
