The wildebeest were gaining on him despite Bailey cry as they were more focused on the person who killed one of them. The people at the lab couldnt have made them slower!! The wildebeest closest to him was just about to graze his back with its horn when Mason suddenly jumped and shifted midair into his tiger form. He silently thanked the doctors at the lab that they had screwed up his DNA as he was one of the first to be experimented on in that specific lab which made him a stripless tiger which could help him look more like a lynx only way bigger but he could blame that on him being trained. After all having such a big guy turn into a small animal would not look right at all. Anyways since he was now in tiger form he was able to take bigger strides gaining ground away from the wildebeest before he turned and letout a mind blowing roar which along with bailey's battle cry made most of them skidd to halt as they now thought twice about chasing him but some others continued to chase after the others. ''Toto get them out of here!'' he yelled to him before he ran towards the wildebeest that were still chasing toto and the others.

Mason hurtled past me. Oddly enough, he looked very much like a stripeless tiger, despite the DNA combination I had overheard. I ignored that for now and yelled, "Look out for the flaming bird, guys!" I swooped back and forth, threatening the wildebeest with another angry cry and my flaming body, which didn't hurt but would rapidly consume my energy. I singed a few who were targeting people and flew straight at others, singeing them if the charge wasn't enough. I swooped over and singed the one who was chasing Mason, hoping it would distract it. I didn't want to strike out with my claws just yet, as a flaming wildebeest could cause a forest fire. (LOL flaming wildebeest) "Go back to where you came from!" I cried at the creatures.

I flew away from the stampeding wildebeests. I huffed, growing tired from repeatedly flapping my wings. I landed onto a tree to catch my breath, the tree didn't seem to stable to me. I turned to see a wildebeest heading for the tree, I sighed and stretched out my wings. I huffed, struggling to take flight since most of my energy was drained and I hadn't gotten enough time to refill it. I just managed to lift off from the tree and fly a few feet away from it. The wildebeest soon rammed into it, sending the tree toppling to the ground with a loud crash. I wasn't able to lift myself too far from the ground due to my lack of energy. Suddenly, I felt something sharp drive its way into my wounded leg. With a cry, I was flipped backwards and landed hard onto the ground. My vision was greatly blurred and blood was practicality pouring from my leg. I desperately tried to get up, but was only greeted by failure as I soon collasped. I was soon laying motionless on the ground, left to the mercy of the wildebeests.

I heard another terrible cry, this time of pain. I would have to put out my flames soon if I wanted to keep battling, but I flew over anyway. It was the new girl, who slightly resembled the dragon/dinosaur thing in some of her features. A wildebeest had driven its horn into her bad leg and was about to trample her. "OH NO YOU DON'T!!!" I shrieked, swooping down and burning its back without catching it on fire, and charging it while crying out angrily. "Do you trust me now?" I said grimly.

Raveria sat down a bit and sighed a bit" I'm not ignoring my gut feeling Aerix.... I'm...." She turned away and looked at the ground"I'm.. I'm scared... truly scared that I'll never see you or Moka again... and that I might lose you both in my life." She glance at Moka" I....." she sighed and looked away. After a moment she lifted her head and a hard determined look was on her face" no matter what happens if I'm going with Aerix, I won't go down without putting up a fight.. I'm not giving up just yet on letting them control me or use me..." She said and stood up " I may be only half tiger and half wolf... but I still have the instinct to fight for my life..no matter .."

I could hardly hear the girls voice for it felt like blood had filled my ears, I faintly heard the girl ask if I could trust her. "I... yes." I replied through gritted teeth. I struggled to try to get up again, but I once more failed. Tears of pain began to streak down my cheeks.

Moka stopped in her tracks as she let out a distressed breath of air as she looked back at Raveria. ''Raveria no matter what we say its your choice, are you saying that you would rather stay with Aerix rather than leave with me? No matter what we are spitting up so now you need to choose stay...stay with Aerix or leave with me.'' she explained but a small glimpse of sadness cross her eyes before she looked away. She didnt want Raveria to leave her but if she wanted to stay with Aerix then she would let her leave, it was her choice after all regardless of what herself and Aerix decided who she would be better off with.

Mason turned as he heard a cry of pain and looked to see a wildebeest had gored one of the girls leg. Changing directions he raced over to her examining the wound before snarling and instantly tackling the wildebeest that had done that to her, not in protectivness and kindness but in anger...anger that the wildebeest could have potentially killed what was his to kill. Mason quickly went for the neck and bit down until the burnt wildebeest stopped moving. He then looked up at Jessica seeing that she was was in pain and wouldnt been able to run so Mason laid down and motioned to his back, silently telling her to climb on. he thought that he should be able to carry her, or at least far away enough from the wildebeest. After all he was a genetically altered tiger, a large one in fact so he should be able to carry one passanger.

(A bit of a flashback for you all.)

With a final angry cry and beat of my fiery wings, I drove the wildebeest away. I cut off my flames and lighted down on the ground. I came over to her. When I saw her wound, phoenix tears welled up in my eyes. "Will you let me heal you now?" I asked, my voice trembling. She looked like she was in so much pain, and it cut me to the core... A flash of memory of the first fire came back to me, before I became what I am. I was trapped, I didn't know what to do... Pain was screaming down my back... My mother, her faint scream outside... Her racing in, and calling my name... I remember her cool arms around me, even as the fire raged, burning our house. Then, I gave in to the tide of blackness lapping at my mind, for I had known I was safe then. The memory faded, and I was a phoenix, with wildebeest still stampeding around. I waited for her response.

Seraph looked over her shoulder hesitantly, ears falling. Honestly, it was sounding like everything just hit the fan. All because of some wildebeests. It almost sounded silly, as she assumed such panic and chaos would be caused by something more... infamous, like those workers at the lab. But, of course, this was a very serious matter. And she was torn; she wanted to stay with all of the others to keep the whole ground together, but also felt the need to stay by Toto. From the looks of it, things weren't going well at all. Licks of fire were snapping upwards, a bunch of random roars, shrieks, and cries were echoing everywhere, and the sound of hooves pounding the dirt was all confusing her. However, she remained near Toto, and would simply wait to see if he made any sudden decisions. She was able to reason with herself that, since Toto was stuck on the ground, he was more vulnerable to be trampled than the rest of other hybrids, who all seemed to have wings, except Mason, of course, whom she was unable to see through the trees. But, apparently, Mason could get into a tree. She hadn't seen Toto climb anything yet, though he seemed to have claws that could probably dig into bark to hoist himself up, if necessary. Still, she felt better staying with him, who she trusted more than any of the others.
"Do you see any of the others?" She called down, occasionally glancing over her shoulder to check and see if anyone else was off the ground.

Aerix

"Raveria..." Aerix sighed softly, running a hand through his already messed up hair, only tousling it further. "I really don't think that's a good idea. You can't honestly want to stay here. It isn't safe." He said, almost begging her to go. "And besides, Moka is wounded. She needs someone to make sure it doesn't get infected and kill her." He added, not just coming up with excuses on the spot. In all honesty, he was pretty dang sure that even if Raveria did stay, he wouldn't be seeing much of her. Though, he had no way of knowing what they would do with her. But, truth be told, Aerix was no good at taking care of others. He hadn't even been trying all that long, and he was already tired, and stressed. What he really wanted right now was to sit on a couch and listen to some music, and stop dancing on the fence of which side to choose. Already he was slipping back to his original side, where things were easier, and he only had to follow orders and not ask questions. It was so much simper, and definitely more pleasant for the lazy boy. He hated complicated things. "I appreciate it - I really do. But you need to think of yourself, and Moka. You two are in danger, while I'm not. I can still fix things here with myself, and you two can run off and do whatever you can to live a more normal life. I'd rather not sit with a guilty conscience knowing that every second, you could get killed by someone here. At least out in the wild, you'll have a better advantage, being a hybrid. It'll be more natural, and safe."

Raveria looked at him" Aerix... my guts telling me something really bad will happen.... I don't where... how, when or who it happen to but I'm scared that if I'm not there I'm afraid someone might get hurt badly or worse..... Dead!" She looked at Moka" I know.. I know, and...well..."She turned and walked to a wall close by as she laid down, suddenly feeling overly saddened now" I don't know what to do... I want Togo with Moka... yet I want to stay.... " She looked down a bit"crap... why does choosing things like this have tons hard..?"
