Cora sighed, kicking her shoes into the corner and padding across the room to flop into the bed that was much too large for just her and crawl up to press her face into her pillow without changing out of her street clothes. Dex jingled up to scramble onto the bed beside her as she curled up on herself, feeling quite lonely.

Cora fell asleep quickly, as she was quite exhausted from work, hugging Dex closely to her and not bothering to change her clothes or remove her makeup. The next morning she groggily dragged herself from bed and showered, dressing casually before leaving the apartment to take Dex on his walk.
