Adrian's eyes widened with realization a moment before his face settled back into his usual smirking grin and he smacked a hand to his forehead. "Of course. How could I even be so stupid," he chuckled softly at himself, shaking his head, then ran a hand back through his hair as he considered. "I... obviously didn't have any time to prepare for this but..." he trailed off and furrowed his brow slightly, patting over all his pockets before his attention fell on the red jeweled class ring that has scarcely left his pinky finger since his initial college graduation in 1955. The name of the school had all but faded, but Adrian's name was still visibly etched into the silver, as was the graduation year, incidentally the last year he had been alive. He thought on it a long moment before working the ring off his little finger and sinking to one knee in front of the bed. "You may want to stand up... this is rather important..." he said with a teasing little smirk up at her.

Sabel's grin turns into an all out amused smile the moment he sinks to his knee. She's sure to give Desdemona a short scratch behind the ears, then does as told and stands for Adrian as she crosses her arms and waits. "Your willingness is amusing."

"I racked my mind trying to think of a reason not to and couldn't come up with any," Adrian says, that same old grin on his face as he holds the ring up with a little quirk of his eyebrow. "So here goes, I suppose... Sabel," he began, reaching out to take her hand. "For the past long while we've been together, ever since I first became fascinated and you decided to indulge and stay with me, I've grown quite accustomed to your presence. It's reached the point where I can no longer imagine ever continuing with my existence without you in it. It's important I tell you how deeply you fascinate and astound me, and how ardently I enjoy you. So, for that reason Sabel; my eternal fire, captivating creature of the beyond; I ask you, will you marry me?"

Sabel's head tilts somewhat through his speech, unblinking eyes not once leaving his. There's not much emotion to be show, of course there never is, but the rare smile remains. Idly and wordlessly, she raises a hand to trail through his hair with the intent of disheveling it in the way she knows annoys him before brushing that same hand down his jawline. Finally, she answers with a cold and simple. "Yes."

Adrian grinned back, the dark mischievous grin that he reserved only for her as he slid the ring onto her slender finger before taking both her hands in his, rising to his feet, studying her face a few moments, then taking her face in his hands and pressing a hard kiss to her lips, unable to keep his mouth from curling into a smile again against hers.

Sabel responds to his kiss with ease, arms wrapping tightly around him and tugging him flat against her. As her hand balls into a fist to keep that ring secure on her finger, she's sure to reiterate all the things she can't bring herself to say through the way she kisses the man whom she will soon be able to legally claim as hers. Certainly boosts that sense of ownership. (Faaade?)
