Chris pinned her to a nearby tree. Even if she tried to turn, he could breakher arms. He leaned in and took a deep breath through the nose.

Chris took hus chance and bit down gently. He closed his eyes and began drinking.

"What would that entail? Would I be required to pay taxes? Or other mortal things? I really do not wish to put up a charade of being alive for the sake of owning you." Sabel informs him, then glances down towards the ringing noise coming from his pocket. "Who is that?"

Adrian furrowed his brow, taking the phone from his pocket and reading the number. "It's her," he replied, turning the phone to face Sabel and show the contact number.

Sabel's face twists into an expression of mild irritation. Taking the phone from Adrian, she stares down at that number before giving a huff and answers. "For a human who claims Adrian is their 'problem', you certainly make no attempts at avoiding him, do you?"

Adrian blinked in surprise at her sudden seizing of his phone, but allows her to answer with an eyebrow raised, leaning back against the doorframe.

Chris drank slowly.

Ellie coughed on her bld. "They're coming after Adrian... again.. so excuse me..." Ellie was iritated but spoke in soft tones. Her coughing continued as she tried to keep her eyes open.

"Apparently someone's coming for you," Sabel says to Adrain with a small shrug. "and apparently we should care, Adrian." Turning back to her phone conversation, she lowers her tone, not bothering to hide her annoyance, and turns it on speaker so Addy can be included. "I would not suggest calling again. Whatever attackers you think pose as a threat to him do not, and are no doubt only targeting him because of you. If you so desperately wish for Adrian to stop being a problem for you, then you might wish to stop being a problem for him first, human."
