Aurora felt Celine place her hand on her shoulder, and with the small contact and equally small smile, a tad of Aurora's tension seemed to slip out into the waters around them. Her shoulders relaxed, and she found herself ever so hopeful as Celine implored the massive sea serpent for his help. She kept her eyes on Celine, choosing to focus on her companion rather than the terrifying beast in front of them both, however, she did keep an eye on the wish-keeper in her peripheral vision.
But, when Celine promised her own life in return for his help, Aurora felt as though a rope had suddenly started strangling her heart. She couldn't let the atlantian take the fall for something she had caused- Celine wouldn't even have been here if it weren't for Aurora. Just like Neron. But just as he was about to intervene and offer her own life debt instead of Celine's, the massive beast spoke up, his voice rumbling through the cave. For a moment, Aurora could only stare at the scale presented to them, it was about the size of her palm, and a deep blue that seemed to shimmer with the mysteriousness of an abyss. However much she wished she could have just confidently swam up and accepted the scale, she couldn't, and after a moment's hesitation she swam back next to Celine, giving the atlantian a small smile that didn't quite reach her eyes, and took the offered scale.
"My mistake caused this- so the burden of the debt should be mine..."She murmured to the Atlantian, and as soon as she took the scale from the serpent's tail, his voice rumbled again, in warning this time. Aurora's face paled, and she glanced quickly at Celine before reaching out for the atlantian and grabbing her hand, intent on dragging the both of them out of that dreaded cave- and most importantly, away from the terrifying maw of the wishkeeper.
