A deep voice rumbled through the cave, halting Aurora's tracks for a few brief moments. But she managed to muster her courage once more and forge ahead, straight towards the voice. At the end of the long, narrow, bone lined corridor, the cave opened up into a large cavern, and there, just inside, was a massive sea serpent. This time, Aurora stopped dead in her tracks, unable to continue moving. The great beast was massive, and was coiled tightly around itself, but it was his enormous head that paralyzed Aurora. Filled with jagged edges, spikes, glowing yellow eyes and terrifying teeth, Aurora couldn't help but freeze in its presence. For those brief moments, her mind went blank with terror, but a sudden thought managed to cut through the invisible bonds that held her. Neron is part sea serpent...and he is not a monster. I can do this. I will not be afraid.

And so, albeit warily, Aurora approached the massive serpent. "H-Hello?"

Aurora's bravery was quickly leaving her as the serpent continued talking, coiling tighter as if ready to strike. She backed up a bit, hoping to find Celine's presence. The atlantian must know what to do! She was after all, the one who had told Aurora about this place. But, she had also said that Aurora would have to be 'loyal'...and maybe that meant she would have to stand up for herself. Something told her that cowering behind the atlantian would be the wrong move in this situation, so she stopped in her tracks, and straightened her back."I-I came to ask for your help..." she started, and wasn't able to hold back a glance behind her at Celine. "Someone very dear to me has been taken by the humans...and I need to get him back."

Dr. Hamilton hung up on the captain, and took a glance at the creature in the tank. He would get nothing done in this environment...he needed a lab, a real lab. Hopefully, one that had a tank large enough for his newest specimen. Suddenly, the boat lurched, and Hamilton cursed at the captain under his breath. It seemed as though his crew required his presence in order to do anything correctly. Hamilton turned on his heal and left the room, the tape of his previous specimens still playing in the background.
On his way to the wheel, Hamilton quickly dialed Dr. Knight's number. If he was going to be staying at her facility upon her request, then he needed a bit more information.

In the cabin, Hamilton had left the tape running, and, unbeknownst to him, the two long dead specimens were talking with each other once more, but the age of the recording, along with the distortion of the water, managed to make the words they said hard to make out. For Hamilton, this wasn't really a problem, but for anyone who could understand what they were saying...
"We're trapped in here.̷̫͔̬̮̥̏͑̑̾̽.̵̢̯̤̥̤̑͗̋̂̆.̸̟͍͔̟̣̿̏̾́͝with that, that, monster!"

Celine stared past Aurora, taking in every detail. He was indeed impressive. Every little bit as massive as she remembered from all those years ago.
She couldn't help but notice the glance, not that is wasn't obvious. Aurora was probably just as, if not more scared than Celine. Well, as her dad used to say, desperate times called for desperate measures.
The Atlantian placed her hand on Aurora's shoulder, gently moving past her and closer to the Wish Keeper. She gave a nervous smile to her Siren companion before slowly sinking to the cave floor on her knees, bowing her head low before the Wish Keeper. This was so embarrassing...
"Please... Wish Keeper... Our friend is in trouble. The humans are ruthless, they may very well kill him. Of course, such matters are obviously beneath you but... he is partially Sea Serpent. If they do what I know they will, your life could be in danger. We do not wish to trouble you any more then necessary. All I ask is you grant us three scales. One for the Siren, one for our friend, and one for safety and good luck.
Please, help us. If not for Neron's well being, for your own. I will owe you my life if you do so."
As she finished, remaining in her bowed position, Celine wondered what Aurora would think of her groveling before the serpent and treating him like a king.

Slade smiled, "Of course." He waved a farewell to the sea creature, then led Luna deeper into the waters. Finally, they reached the spot. The place where he'd set it up. His scarlet eyes narrowed and a slight grin passed over his features, like a cloud passing over the sun briefly. "Stay right there," he said, indicating that she tread water to stay where she was while he swam a ways away to find the trigger. Finally he found it...the one he'd set last night. "Excellent..." he paused only briefly before tugging on the course rope...and a net starting to drop right over Luna's head. At the last second, Slade's eyes morphed into a baby blue, and he frowned, staring blankly at the rope he'd just pulled. "What am I...doing?" he murmured inaudibly. His heart was aching for some reason...

She stopped and watched him. "Ok..." she said. Slade disappeared into the murky water. "Slade?" she squinted into the darkness. Suddenly, she heard a loud "Chink" she looked up to see a chain net comming down on her. "Slade!" The chain fell on top of her with crushing force. It took her down to the sea floor where she hit with a thud. She struggled to escape but just made it worse. She looked up to see slade treading water next to a trigger."Slade?" her heart dropped realizing what had just happened. "How could you?"
