[so incredibly sorry for taking so long to get to this RP.
ACK stupid finals are running me ragged; do you think someone could give me a concise recap to post to the front? That would be so amazingly awesome, especially since I only have a vague idea of what's going on in the RP right now...

XD I've skimmed through stuff but I've hardly had time to do anything on CS (and that really upsets me urrrrg)]
Gene was convulsing with sobs of grief. He was so absorbed in his misery that he didn't even feel the presence behind him until the man had approached them and took Rose from him. At first, the young intern blinked, not quite comprehending what was happening. The gears in his brain turned slowly as he worked through all the different explanations for the appearance of this man. And then an uncontrollable fury filled the boy's heart and pumped his veins full of passion - he stood up abruptly and whirled on the man, prepared to shout wild curses at him and tear Rose away from the intruder should it come to that. But Gene froze before he could realize any of his violent fantasies. It hit him. This man was Rose's father. He'd seen this man once before, back at the lab...only a brief glimpse, somewhere. Not only that, but Gene could detect a bit of resemblance in their features. The intern's rage subsided, like a tidal wave disrupted by a towering jagged cliff. The eyes. The eyes were seamlessly identical.
"You're--" Gene halted when he heard how pathetically hoarse and weak his own voice sounded, and suddenly he felt very small compared to this powerful being before him. Gene Niles...who was he? Some pale little science intern who'd been of absolutely no use to anyone. He hadn't been able to save Rose, or stop Nichole from going insane, or even put much of a dent in that wicked Dr. Hamilton's schemes. He had no right to be holding Rose in his arms in the first place. "I..." he faltered, then shied away from the father and his child, burning with shame. He didn't want to be in this man's presence.
To think that I...that Rose...that I wanted to...to fall in love... he buried his face in his palms.
I was an idiot... Everywhere. It hurts everywhere, Midge wanted to reply, but she knew that wasn't going to be of much use. "Oh, th-thank you so much! The pain is...strongest in the...the upper part of my wing..." she answered, wincing as she tried to readjust the feathered appendage. "And I was flying when suddenly I hit...I hit this thing," she explained vaguely, tapping Nichole's car to indicate that this was indeed what she had slammed into.
