LIrisa shrugged, content to stare around the cavern. She was a bit miffed by the casual way that Maura brushed off everything she did, but she ignored it.
With a start, Lirisa felt her stomach growl. "How about we eat?" she suggested. "What do moon wolves eat, anyway?"

"Sure, and do... But it's not your everyday meal... Unless you do eat 8 eyed moles with bag wings." The moon wolf sayed, grinning and savoring at the idea of a good meal. His ears then perked up before directing his gaver to the human asking curiously," What do humans eat anyway? I've heard you somehow could eat both meat and plants?"

Lirisa winced at Maura's description. Ew, she thought privately, knowing better than to say it out loud. "Sounds delicious," she couldn't help but say, though. "Yeah, we eat both meat and plants. But what do you mean, we can? You can't eat plants?" Wow, she thought. Lirisa didn't like meat very much, so she couldn't imagine having to eat it all the time.

"Not exactly, the juice and taste of native moon plants is unusually dry and barely has enough juices to provide for a mouse, so we rely on meat to keep ourselves a live. There are those who can survive on plants alone, even if it's rare, but there are no such things as omnivores in this kind environment, surprisingly enough." Maura explained, sticking his tongue out with a grimace at the taste of moon plants, only to then perk his ears once more in curiosity asking," So what do the plants you humans grow taste like? I've heard rumors that your plants has many flavors, most of which are considered exotic to moon creatures."

Lirisa paused to take in what he said. She had never heard of anything like that--not that she had ever tried moon plants. "Well," she began, wondering how to explain the myriad of plants that she, and other humans, ate. "There are fruits and vegetables, like oranges and bananas and mangoes and squash and lettuce..." She trailed off, thinking about the meal that would probably be waiting for her at home. "Then there are plants from the water: seaweed, for example." She wrinkled her nose at the thought of the (she thought) disgusting plant. Way too fishy and downright weird for my taste, she thought with a smile. "Um....I think that's all." Lirisa suddenly thought of something. "Maura," she asked slowly. "You said that you depend mostly on meat? Well, what meat do you eat? I don't think there are any cows or pigs or chickens or whatnot here!" She laughed. "Except for the ones that people keep, I suppose."

Listening what the human says, he listened carefully while wondering 'What on earth do these names mean? Orange? Lettuce? Seaweed.... That sounds strange..' He then perked his hears at the question, only to respond saying while trying to trace back as to what kind of food moon wolves eat," Well, like your kind of wolves back on your Earth, we hunt for our food, but unlike them, some of us are in considerable tribes or clans instead of packs. These large groups are usually the kinds that can take down large prey, while for loners like I would normally hunt for smaller creatures, voles for example."

Lirisa nodded along to his explanation, internally laughing at the look of befuddlement that had consumed his as she had described the plants that humans eat. "I see...." she said slowly.

"He then looked over his shoulder to glance over at the entrance, before facing back the human saying," What does 'seaweed' taste like anyway? Is it slimy? Taste like rotten moldy carcasses that have been out for what, a week? Does it taste metallic-y? Cause in all of the food I've ever eaten, it's always metallic-y... Not counting that moon snail I had to let crawl down my mouth without biting down due to a dare.... You have do NOT want to know what its like to have something alive and slimy going down your throat..." The moon wolf shivered, a creeped out grimace made its way onto his face as he recalled the disturbing feeling.

A surprised laugh was forced out of Lirisa, causing her to lean back against the cave walls. "Well, seaweed tastes very...fishy." She shuddered, but smiled. "It's not metallic-y at all! I have mostly ever eaten it in these little, thin strips that kind of melt in your mouth--kind of. Actually, they more like dissolve." She wrinkled her nose as she tried to think of more things to tell about the horrid food. "It's green," she offered. "And stinks."

¨Fishy?¨ Maura glanced over at the other curiously. He's always wondered what fish tasted like, but due to how big they are, they were rather hard to catch, the size itself usually needing over 3 wolves to hold it down. ¨I can't say I know what fish taste like, since the fish on the moon are too big for me to handle. And green? What's that? Also, I guess I can sympathize for you when it comes to stinky things. That is bothersome in a meal you are to eat..¨
