There was quiet for a moment before she turned her head to look up at him. "You don't have to..." Her voice was barely louder than a whisper. "You already did so much for me... I-I don't know how I'll repay you."

Zenon

Zenon shook his head and waved a hand dismissively. "Don't worry about it. This is just common courtesy. If I was in your state, I would hope that someone would at least lend a hand." He explained as he stood to his feet. "Alright, I'll be right back, again. Two minutes, tops." He said as he started out the aisle once more.

She lay there watching him for a moment before finally making the decision to tell him. "H-hey Zenon...?" Her voice called before he could go any farther than about three or maybe four steps.

Gray

Gray glanced down at the dog briefly. "...So, how old is she?" Gray decided to ask, since there seemed to be an awkward pause in the conversation now. "Did you get her when she was a pup?" She added before she turned and started walking towards the Wal-Mart, waving a hand over her shoulder to beckon the girl to follow her. "Come on, tell me while we walk."

Evee nodded and ran up to her, "I got her when she was five months to help with my mother's death-" her eyes widened as she realized what she had said. She put her hands over her mouth.

Zenon

"Yeah?" Zenon stopped, turning himself halfway around so that he could meet her gaze. "What's up?" He added, actually quite surprised that she was able to speak. Well, honestly, he was surprised that she was still conscious at all, but from the high level of fatigue that she had seemed to be showing, he guessed that she'd at least be sleeping soon. But the fact that she was spending some of her dwindling energy to speak let him know that whatever she had to say must've been important. And, so, he gave her his attention, raising his eyebrows in silent question.

Gray

Gray barely flinched at all at the girl's detail. In fact, she only blinked twice before responding. "I see. I've heard pets can be good comfort. I've never had a dog, since my parents didn't think I was responsible enough for one, which is absolutely true - I'm not - but I've always wanted to at least have someone to run around with. Someone who would keep up with me and not complain about my rowdy habits." She shrugged, moving on quickly. "I'm sorry, about your mom." She added, at least trying to be sort of respectful. Gray couldn't relate, though, as she'd never lost anyone close to her like that. And so she didn't quite understand the sadness or pain that one went through that tagged along with the loss of a parent.

Evee looked at her, "Yeah, she's been a big help. That's why I freaked out when that boy tried to shoot her..." she said. "But anyway, right now she is two years." she said, Eve sniffed Gray.

"When-when... I wake up... U-umm... If you want, I can turn the electricity back on..." She stammered quietly. She tried to sit up a little but that much movement made her feel even worse so she heeded her body's warning and lay herself back down.

Zenon

The corners of his lips lifted encouragingly. "Maybe. Though, if those men see the lights are on, they might come in. Then we'd be in trouble." He shrugged. "Though, perhaps you could get the heat working or something. It probably won't be all that warm for long tonight... if you'll be feeling up to it, that is." He added, just deciding to now question how she'd manage to do something like that. He'd seen more than enough strangeness for today, and wouldn't be surprised if more came before sunrise.

Gray

"Yeah, I don't know why he did that... Elijah is a little hard for me to predict." Gray shrugged. "I'm just so used to being near people that I've known for years, that all of these new kids that I've never met before just popping out of nowhere is a little hard to accept. Especially since you all seem to have some sort of power, or something. I definitely don't understand that, and it's making me question why I'm alive, too." Gray remembered back to when she'd moved with an incredible speed. It'd been weird, and she hadn't understood it, but she hadn't been able to control it, either. It was like she just forgot what happened in between starting and stopping, and it seemed to have happened within half of a second. Mentally shaking her head, she cleared her thoughts, deciding to not think too much about it.

She felt a sudden weight on her eyes and realized her eyelids were beginning to close. She tried to keep them open but she knew it would soon result in a losing battle. "T-tonight it will rain."

"It beats me why I would have powers." Evee said, she looked out. This area was near her alleyway, she hoped everything would still be in tact. "So, where are we going?" she asked, part of her wanted to know, but part of her didn't.
