City Of Shifters (New and Accepting)

"It's fine." he answered. He looked over and saw a large rabbit, but decided not to chase it. He didn't want to kill an animal when a deer was right next to him...

Sheridan hit her hoof on the ground a few times and smiled when the rabbit cautiously came over. She sat and pet it with her hoof. "My parents were rabbit shifters so I know a lot about rabbits." she said smiling when the rabbit made happy squeak noises.

Kayana shrugged, though found the mistake in her statement. "Actually, I don't know." she admitted.

"That's kind of weird, 2 rabbit shifters making a deer shifter...huh. Well i guess they are all friendly." BlueJay looked at the two.

He chuckled and stuck his long forked tongue out

"Actually they were my adoptive parents." she said as she lowered her head to the ground so the rabbit could climb onto her head then sit on her back before she stood straight up again."My real parents didn't want me."

Kayana couldn't help but be curious. "Mind my manners, but when you're in your human-form, is your tongue forked then too?" she asked.

"Why would your parents not want you? You seem nice..." BlueJay looked at the rabbit on her shoulders and chuckled. It reminded him of his friends. They weren't shifters, just normal animals. He was friends with the pack of wolves that lived nearby, but not to far from the city. When he visited the pups likes to climb on his shoulders.

"Not naturally but I got it forked a few years ago." he said chuckling

"They just considered me a problem and a waste of money." she said shrugging and flicking her tail to the side,her ears twitching at the memory of how they treated her. They had never been abusive but they acted like she was just some stray child who had been thrown into their house.

I notice him grimace. "You look fifteen." I say. I meant it. He didn't look younger, so I looked at him with a misunderstanding expression. "It's weird that people would think that." I shrug. "I'm sixteen. Almost as young, but not quite." I say with a grin. I walked in the forest often, but mostly as a wolf. It was where I could mostly be myself.

"Really?" Micah seemed happy to hear that, "That's really nice of you to say! I'm serious, everyone says that to me. So I thought I'd jump ahead this time and just say it myself." He laughed to himself, "It's really nice to meet you, Skylar. You're really nice." It was nice to meet someone who was around his own age.

"Ah. My mother died protecting me when i was 9, so my dad started abusing me. He abused me until i finally escaped when i was 16. So I lived in a forest and protected myself until i found a wolf pack nearby. They took care of me for a few months till i wandered out pretty far and found this place." Bluejay flicked his fluffy, soft tail. He never knew why, but his fur was very soft and fluffy, and his tail was especially soft. As a human, his hair was just as soft as his tail, if not softer.
