Sarah yelped and jumped away when he touched her. She instinctively covered her head with her forearms, trembling. "D-don't hurt me..." she begged softly.

I looked at her sympathetically. "I'm sorry. I forgot.." I smiled. "I'm not going to hurt you. I'd never hurt another human or...in your case a neko." I held my hand out, palm up with a soft smile. "Will you let me care for you? I can help!"

"I...I...Um..." Sarah looked at him cautiously. Her eyes glittered with hope, yet at the same time she wasn't sure if she could trust the human male. She had only had rotten experience with them. They only do things for their benefit, as far as she knew.
