He chuckled sheepishly, caught in his loss of medical knowledge. "Well, you're not wrong. I only planned on washing it off and covering it." Deimos rolled his eyes and laid on the floor next to him. He huffed, slightly irritated with discovering more about his supposed bond mate.

Ilia shook her head. "That might be sufficient for something else, but not this. Would you mind telling me exactly what happened?" She gestured to a chair, then started digging around for her supplies.

He laughed once more as he sat down, stroking Deimos' head almost reluctantly. "Well, as if you hadn't found me pathetic already. I had lost my temper with a group of buffoons back home. They were toying with a stray rabbit quite rudely, tossing it about and throwing stones at it. I know it was foolish to bug in just for a lowly rabbit, but I was already in no mood to deal with these brutes. I don't believe my temper understood how heavily outnumbered I was when I threw the first punch." He looked down to his wound and sighed, "And I certainly didn't anticipate one of them having a dagger on their person. I was so foolish." Deimos laid his muzzle onto Veda's lap, slightly with empathy.

Ilia nodded absently, setting something on the table and pulling another chair over. "I never had much tolerance for those who feel the need to prey on the weak. It's one of the reasons why I left my home." She went outside for a few moments, returning with a damp cloth and handing it to him.

He took the cloth into his hand and swiped it against his crimson tear with a small wince. "Ngh. Really? Well I think you know enough about me, so what's your story?" He looked up to her with interest.

"You'll have to be a little more specific." Ilia looked up for a moment, then went back to doing something with her herbs.

He nodded and thought for a moment, "Well, let's begin with why you stray from populated areas. Why is that?"

((So that was pretty much the worst Christmas ever... But at least no one died this time.

I'm really sorry I haven't been posting. I'll try to post within the next few days, and then hopefully get back to posting regularly.))
