Veda looked down with guilt, taking in a deep breath. "You're right, but I don't know how long I can stay," He knelt down by Deimos' side as the wolf sat beside him observantly. Veda stroked his chin with confidence, the canine surprisingly allowing it as his tail lapped against the ground. "I might be missed by my family, but then again.. My father was the only one who really cared, so they may not even notice my absence. They just might like it, too." Veda sighed softly, for this was a big decision for him, to resume another life in another realm. A lot most likely changed while he was gone. "And if I stay, I can't go back to the West, it's probably still infected."

Ilia tilted her head. "The Shadow has reached all corners of this land, though perhaps some more strongly than others. You won't be safe from it, especially being with your bondmate." She glanced down at Dire, silently asking him something. He nodded, and she sighed faintly. "You may travel with us, if you'd like. Being new to this land, in a way, you should have a guide. Not that Deimos wouldn't be a sufficient one," she noted, nodding to the wolf, "but you never know. It might be useful to travel together."

Veda shook his head as he stood once more, "That'll do you no good to have a liability like I on your shoulders. I will only burden your travels." He glanced down at his wound as the bleeding condensed sufficiently.

Ilia sighed. "I wouldn't have offered if I considered you a complete liability. Someone needs to teach you how to survive out here, and I'm sure it will be hard if Deimos has to do it alone. Or would you like to put him in more danger as well?"

Veda scratched the back of his neck with a nervous smirk. Aside from his long absence, Veda knew his sloppy entrance was also a dead giveaway to his lack in survival skills. "No, you're right. But what are you expecting to get out of this?" Deimos looked up to Ilia, curious for her response. "I have nothing of value to offer."

Ilia shrugged. "Just your company." She sighed. "Honestly, there are some...people, who would be very happy to find me. I'd rather they didn't. It'll be less suspicious if we aren't alone."

Veda nodded and patted the side of his thigh, signaling for Deimos to stand. "Fair enough. Do we have a destination?"

"If you have a better idea, let me know." I say to him. I tap my chin with my fingers and think. I'm sure there is a humanless bondmate somewhere. But our highly trained horses are fast as lightning. Or close enough.
"We'll take horses. We have special horses only trained in speed and agility. Extremely intelligent." I pat Vidar's shoulder and say, "Go on, I'll see you later." She makes a loud sound and takes off towards the distant trees. She doesn't like staying in the kingdom very long. People make her anxious. The only time she likes being near anyone except me is in battle.

Jake Lockwood
Jake rolls his eyes, beginning to get very tired of the North, "I'm sure they are, princess." He says, using his inaccurate nickname for Rose once more. "So you said that this trip will take a couple days and the next convoy for the East is leaving in the morning; can I just leave the group and find my way there?" He asks, not for permission but he needed a general idea of the terrain and distance.

Flint Lockwood
Flint makes his way out of the city, after a little searching he finds a spot near one of the outer walls to sit down and pet Nova.
