Brent laughed and watched her go. Once the door had shut he went back to work inspecting the recipe closely. He didn't want to disappoint Megan.

Ondine paled, quickly she packed up their things in her bag and scooped Georgiana up. "I need you to hold on to that birdy. " She said, kicking open the window and leaping onto the tree branch out side .
With one foot she shut the window and inched along the branch, eventually finding the roof ledge. "And you need to be very quiet." Ondine whispered, backing up and away from the window.

Georgie nodded, she may not have known what was going on, but she did know it was bad "I will mommy" she promised, she pulled the bird closer to her and closed her green eyes

Bane tried to pull away from the slaver, he could still see the knight tossing a bag of coins into the air and catching it again, anger pulsed through Bane, anger and sadness will I ever see Ondine again? he wondered

A couple of minutes later, Megan arrived, holding in one hand a small backpack. "Things are getting noisy outside. Lots of knights in dark armor searching the place.."

"They should be after you. We cleared your name." Brent reminded Megan with a wary glance to the back alley behind the shop.

"No, it's just..they look very different, i mean..after i analyzed them a bit. Their emblems had a different symbol. A black dragon on a green field..I've been running from knights for a very long time..And i know these aren't like the usual knights i have met before.."Megan said firmly as she carefully placed the backpack on the table..

(My day and night have been good. It has been nice to put CS down for a while and play in the rain. And snow. It fluctuates really.))

Brent's eyes narrowed. "I would suggest staying out of their sight." He said, making sure the door was barred with the thick wooden beam. "They are bad news." He said solemnly, returning to his work with the fish. They were almost done, and the meat was turning a crisp white with light brown grill marks.

Ondine held her breath as she heard the window of their room slam open. "They ain't here." She heard a voice say, she held Georgie tighter, staring wide eyed at the branch. Expecting somebody to come up any second.

"Your home it's pretty far away..If you want, i'll accompany you to an inn nearby and pay for a night. And this time, i swear that i will be patrolling the surroundings.."Lance said firmly as he kept walking.
