Code gasped slightly.
"Whoa...that's super easy!" He giggled happily. "Does that mean that Midnight had friend before Code?" He asked, curiously.

Midnight's eyes dulled slightly, in her mind she recalled all of her many friends, from her early child-hood, her current friends who couldn't join her in the school and all the ones in between. She felt a sudden swell of emotion as she recalled watching all of them slowly fade away or grow old.
Some of her friends which she had made were actually ones which she had saved as children, only to be later sought out by her soon to be friends. She finally snapped back to reality, slowly fading back to her normal happy-go-lucky attitude, "Yeah, I've had a couple of friends" She said softly trying to push the bad memories out.
