Annabeth slowly opened her fear-full violet eyes before seeing Mark pull her father away from her. Annabeth's father growled lowly before letting go of Annabeth. He then turned to her and pointed his finger at her. "Don't you f****ing move." He snapped before he turned to Mark and turned his hand into a fist. "I 'otta pummel you for disrupting me!" He snarled before freezing as he heard a shattering window. "What the h*ll was that?!" He said, confused and frustrated before he started to walk towards it, but then, he heard the front doorbell ring. He huffed and walked to it, opening the door and seeing groceries on the front step. "Annabeth, your d*mn lucky these are here." He scolded her before he grabbed the bags and slammed the door. He then looked at Mark and rolled his eyes before he walked upstairs to tend to Annabeth's mother. Annabeth coughed harshly before she painfully laid down on the ground, resting there for a few moments. Tears had stained her pale cheeks, and her heart was pounding rather loudly in her chest. She swallowed before she sighed rather shakily.
