Max bit his lip "you have a point there" he said softly before sighing " speaking of brave what do you think will happen if my dad gets questioned?"

Lilian thought about it before speaking. "I don't know, he will probably think you had something to do with it." She said being truthful. "Or maybe he will blow up and then say he needs you to get him out of his problem."

Max sighed "your probably right" he said softly "and if that is the case I have to help him" he said pulling out the IVs and the heart monitor and standing up hiding the fact that he was in some pain.

"I said probably. That means maybe, I think you should wait until you get yourself together before you go and save his a** for all the crap he done to you." Lilian said not being rude but just wanted to state her opinion. "They haven't even released you from the hospital an you are wearing that. You did not even think this through."

Max sighed "Lily I understand where you are coming from but I can't let him get interrogated or put in jail. Like you said I put others before myself and that includes my dad" he said softly "and I have thought this through. If my dad goes to jail he will either have life or the death sentence. I can't let that happen"

Lilian looked at Max and said. "Max. Are you going to stick with the same story, for all we know, they could be talking to him right now and your Dad is telling a whole different lie, and then they are going to question both of you to see who is lying bout the story." Lily said putting her hands through her hair getting nervous about the whole conflict between the police, Max and his Dad. Wondering if she was going to get pulled into the whole big lie.

"I know but even if that is happening I still have to make sure he does not get put in prison" Max said looking at the ground so his bangs were over his eyes "but he usually knows all of the stories I have told people about how I got all my injuries and broken limbs. I'm sure he will not know this one but I still can't make him go through that" he looked up and combed his fingers through his hair

Slate kept her in his sights, he kept pace with her.
