I slowly move my obsidian-black wings up, then slowly down, and then a bit faster. It's pretty painful. Hopefully it doesn't show on my face.

I stop beating my wings and look at the girl with concern. "Are you alright Ashira? What's wrong?"

"My masters... they were pretty nice, but if I even extended my wings, they would get angry... They didn't want me to fly, because they thought I would fly away... I've never even done this before..." I look ashamed, and I know it. What kind of angel, fallen or not, can't even fly?

"Oh, sweetie, honey, why didn't you tell me?" I kneel down and examine her wings. The was definitely joint damage from disuse. I harden my jaw. This was outright cruelty.

"Well... It never came up..." Are my wings useless? Will I ever be able to fly? I blink back the tears, hard.

(That or medication to lubricate the joints...personly I like choice B better. I think it will be sweet. When all seems lost at her flying again, she gets to fly? I don't know something like that.)

"Okay...lets go inside and let Joseph get a look at these. He says he wanted to talk to you as well. Do you think you can fold your wings in?" I say, softly stroking the soft black feathers, straightening and preening them quietly.
