"Are you selling both?" I say motioning to Brie. "If not, I will only accept 1,000. Yes, she IS a fne specimen, but her age is very young. Not a lot of heavy work can be brought from her. 1,000." I say firmly, looking the man in the eyes. I hold a firm jaw, and easily look down on him 4 inches above him. My shoulders are broader than his, and I was sure I looked intimidating. My wings shifted under my coat. I couldn't let anyone know.

Finn paused, accidentally uprooting some flowers. He swore softly, setting them aside.

My masters' son blinked, looking startled. "No, I'm just selling that one." He gestured to me. "And 1,000... You're a skinflint. But whatever, sure. I can't use her. " He offered the key to the stall and chains in one hand, and empty space for money in the other. I grit my teeth at his lie. I notice movement behind my new master. What... could it be? No, I'm just thinking about my dad... How I'll never see his wings stir again... No one, and I mean NO one, was free and a fallen angel.
(Do fallen angels have better senses than humans?)

I nod and smile as I help the girl out of her cell. Immediately I take the handcuffs off her and walk to Brieanna cells. I hand the man the asking price and I help the spellcaster from her cage.

I look up into my new master's face, trying to see what emotions he was feeling. Then I remembered that it is very disrespectful to look at a master as if you are equals, of all things, but I am. I know that I am not a lesser species than this human. Yet still, I look away and blush. "I"m sorry, sir, and thank you for buying me, sir." My violet eyes find his hands instead, which are being offered a lead by my old masters' son's hands. "Y' want this?" he said. "It can be clipped to her metal collar." (Yes, thank you!)

"No, thank you, but that won't be necessary.. I'm sure she'll behave for me. Won't you dear?" I look into the girls eyes, my deep, unnatural blue, shining into her violet.

I drop my eyes again. What is he doing? Is he trying to get me in trouble? "Yes, sir." I twist some of my silver hair around a finger, the rest hanging at my waist. He is a strange master, for sure. I have never seen eyes like that on a human, and he speaks to me like I'm equal. But my old masters were like that at first. They were nice, sure, but in the way you might be nice to a horse or dog or cat you liked, once I was old enough to realize "my place" in the world.
