X jumped back before walking up and picking up the child. "um....shhhh~ shhh~ don't cry please~" she said rocking him. She had never had to deal with kids this small, they were always older. She was truthfully at a total loss, not really remembering her own parents. So, she kind of just went off what she thought she should do.
