Mori sat just outside the Vampire Home, perched atop the small, sand wall that acted like a fence just around the path. A book was clasped in her hands, in terrible condition and looking like it could fall apart at any moment. That's what she got for finding inside the sand homes each of the creatures - living in the middle of the desert didn't grant them that much nice technology. Her pale arms and legs were exposed to the warm, dry breezes the climate gave off; she donned a pale gray tank top and dark blue jeans. Black flip-flops sat on the ground, and Mori instead kicked her feet around in the sand, enjoying the feeling of it.

Lexi watched Mori, and immediately saw the book in her hands. She impulsively walked over, staring at the book. She loved books, but there weren't very many around the desert. "Were did you find that book?" she asked Mori, noticing that the book was nearly destroyed, about to crumble away in her hands.

Mori looked up in surprise, her grey eyes reflecting the morning light. "Oh, this?" she questioned, holding up the book in both hands. "I did some looking around in the Vampire Home. It's really nothing special, though - the moisture and heat completely ruined most of the pages." Smiling, she flashed her fangs, holding it out to the girl. "You can take it if you want. Maybe you can decipher some of the words?"

"Do you know what language it is? I'm fluent in a lot, but not all, like my sister, who's still in heaven," Lexi said, gingerly taking the book from Mori. She opened it, looking at the words. "Oh, I'm Alexis, but call me Lexi," she told her.

"I'm not positive, but it looks like Old English by the style of the writing," she replied, tilting her head. "Must have been a newer book, but just written in that specific language. A tome from that long ago wouldn't have survived this long," she added. Clasping her hands together, she rested them neatly on her lap, looking up at the girl. "Mori; it's nice to meet you. By the way you speak of your sister I presume you're both angels?"

"Yah, I'm an angel. And this is Old English, something I happened to know. It says something about a hill, and nature, and the sky set on fire, but the rest is too old and smudged to read," Lexi told Mori, flipping the pages.

Since Blake was new to the place he thought about getting to know the area and maybe the others that live here. He went out through the front door of the Angels' house. Scanning the barren area he spotted two other homes just away. Shoving his hands in his pockets, the angel started walking down the path toward the first house in his path.

Jade was sleeping the day away in her bed. It was getting a bit hot and stuffy in her room that it woke her up her. Feeling sticky in sweat and uncomfortable, she jumped out of bed and headed to her bathroom to shower.

Eric peered through his window seeing a girl with Mori. All though he has lived here in the desolate place with others he only knew the other vampires. He pretty much avoided the other creatures. Turning away from his window, he headed to his door to exit his dark room.

"Hm, maybe it was a novella of sorts? Or just some random scribbles - out here, you'd be surprised what you find." Glancing back at the house, she noticed a flash of movement in the window. It was gone rather quickly, but it didn't take a scientist to know it was Eric. That boy was always avoiding everyone. "Think we should just toss it?" Mori questioned.
