Name: Wylie James MacCarthy
Age: 21
Gender: Male
Type of character: Normal Person (Engineer)
City: Born in Olivode (technically, the ship was docked there), raised in Rhone
Crush: None
Kin: None
Spouse: None
Personality: Wylie, while incredibly gifted, is incredibly lazy. He gets bored easily, and tends to cure this through smarting off to the people nearest to him. He's pessimistic, or "a realist", as he would say. He gets frustrated with people easily, particularly when they can't keep up with him intellectually. He loves a challenge, and is constantly waiting on the edge of his seat for the next one.
History: Wylie's mother was employed on an airship as a cook when Wylie was conceived. On this same airship Wylie was born and raised among the crew, growing and taking naturally to life on board the ship. As he grew, it became apparent to everyone in his life that Wylie was incredibly intelligent. He asked more questions than average children, which is a lot. He loved nothing more than to go adventuring down into the boiler rooms of the ship, badgering the engineers with even more questions. It wasn't until he got hold of an abandoned pile of scrap metal did his true potential show. He holed himself up in his room for days, tinkering away relentlessly, only leaving to swipe tools, until he produced his first working experiment. The little somewhat-toaster broke down within two weeks, but that didn't stop Wylie. He worked with the engineers, learning from them, and showed natural gifting in designing, building, and repairing ship parts. Shortly after Wylie turned fifteen, his mother became gravely ill and they retired to land in hopes of finding proper medical care. She passed away within a year, leaving Wylie with a little bit of money and contacts of airships where he could find employment. By this time, the war was in full-swing and craftsmen and engineers were in high demand. He learned how to craft weapons remarkably well, and never had trouble finding new work.
Other: He is particularly good at crafting mechanical body parts (eyes, limbs, ears, ect.) and was the creator of the first successful mechanical lung.
