Chat listened to Ichigo. His words only made him sadder and feel more and more lonely. When the twins went to Ichigo, he held the youngest a little closer, but let him go as well when he wanted to. The neko stood up, looking over everyone carefully.
He was angry at them. At all of them. He was still crying. The tears still flowed in rivers, but he no longer sobbed. He wanted his L back. Already, he felt like a part of him was missing. This women also wasn't helping. Her words made him angry. He was also jealous of Jackson and Alec, seeing the unstable fledgling clinging to his creator. Angry and annoyed as grief hurt him, Chat stormed out of the building. It was too small in there. Too many people. Too much reminders of L. "Lamathyst..." He gasped in want once he had managed to get a few blocks away. His mind kept replaying the same scenes over and over. Their first meeting. The first time L took Chat and their bond was formed. L's laugh. The children coming in their lives. Suddenly, the neko felt sick. Today... Today was L's birthday and he was... He was... Chat doubled over, unable to hold back the pain that had to come out.

Alec purred as his hung from Jackson. His ears twitched at any noise, and his eyes would lazily open. If anyone was close to them, he would growl, and if not, he could close them again as he clung to his lover. He didn't want Jackson sad. Normally, the young vampire would be in shock over the death of a friend, and more so his love's twin, but right now, the smell of mixed blood and death in the room was too much. Alec kept his nose against Jackson's neck, so his scent would overpower the smell that made his mouth water.
