She gently pet the top of his head, like a girl might with her dog that she played with, cared for and pet when she was happy and cuddled when she was sad. Her face looked different, less afraid.

Jet looked up and licked her face. He barked a soft, happy bark. His red eyes full of love and joy.

She was a little surprised at the happiness in his eyes but leaned down, resting her head tiredly on his shoulder and falling asleep before she even knew what she was doing. Her long hair, though messy, was soft and some fell on his warm, fur-covered body.

Jet looked ad the girl and let out a small purr like noise. He then fell asleep himself dreaming of running with a pack of his own.

She slept for hours, until night came but the moon could not be seen as she awoke with her arms around Jet's neck, as she'd moved that way in her sleep. The girl opened her eyes slowly, her body warmer than usual but not by very much.

Jet then was startled by a knock of the door. As if it were lightning he was back in his human form and at the door. He looked back at the girl with this look of protection like a mother and her pup. Jet looked back at the door, let out a sigh, and opened the door. A short, shriveled old man was at the door.
"Mr. Plattin, what can I help you with?" Jet asked with a professional tone.
"I no longer need your service." he simply said.
"Excuse me?" Jet asked a little dumbfounded.
"It means your fired, being let go, we are going in separate directions. Get the picture, you have a hour to pack what stuff you have and get out." Mr. Plattin rudely snapped and walked away his footsteps fading as he got farther from the door. Jet just stood there in the door, it seemed as if he was under an invisible freeze spell. It was as if his breathing had stopped and everything was just shutting down.

As the girl slept she looked so peaceful, not afraid of anything or worried that something was about to hurt her as she lay on the floor, her eyes shut.

Jet turned around and woke the girl up, his face was a look of obvious discomfort.
"We need to go but I don't know where we will go." he said as a tear fell slowly down his face.

She'd been startled when he awoke her and tilted her head in confusion at his statement. What could he be talking about? Have to go? She was also surprised by the tear that fell from his face and caught it before it hit the ground.

Jet looked down but the helped her up and took a look at his few belongings and just walked out the door. At the bottom of the stairs Mr. Plattin stood his arms crossed and glaring.
"Come on Mr. Wolfman lets go." he hissed. Jet got into his face and let out a full wolf snarl.
"Your lucky I even protected you for all these years. And don't forget that one time." he barked as he dropped the key to the room in his open hand.
