Akira almost believed that she was still lost in a dream. Was it true? Was the orphanage really going to come to an end? She secretly even desired to confront this council directly and leave them to rot in the earth with their feelings of pride. Of course, though, such a grotesque act would only give the humans a greater reason to deny any mere thought of coexistence with their mutant “neighbors.”
“I see,” were the only words that left her mouth, until she asked, managing to sustain a relaxed manner, “are you certain there is no other way to convince the council otherwise?”

She shook her head "The council truthfully does want to help us, but if the villagers find out, they'll be driven out along with us." She sighed "I thought about traveling from place to place...but that's too difficult... " she rubbed her chin thoughtfully "I have an idea that's incredibly mad, but it just might work..." She sorted some papers "I've been thinking about it for awhile now..." She moved a piece of paper to the side, unveiling a sketch of an airship. She looked up at Akira with a grin.

(Come bother Morag, his room is empty enough still..)

Morag freezes at the sound of the purring...and he shivers. He'd look for the source later...so much is going on... The creature - not young in anything but appearance, but not old.. not like so many. He sighs and pushes hair from his face before starting the tune again. Fear and expectancy clot his throat but he swallows it away, eyes surveying his room where instruments and shelves of music and note-books that don the walls..

(*Pokes* Morag... you have a stalker...maybe two...)

Clarity looked at Alexander. "Maybe we should look in the living room." She said, softly.

He opened his mouth and shut it again, before loosely shaking his head. "No... Hovever, I'm sorry if this
is offensive..." His russian lilt was becoming ever more prominent. "but vould you mind explaining the umm.." He gestured at the tiny hint of a wing sticking up from behind her back with a sheepish smile. "The vings? I've never seen a mutation like that before." He ran his thumb over his lower lip, musing over the possibility that this really was a genetic mutation, a shift in the codons in her DNA. However the change was too big. Such a growth would have to come from parents(or a parent, depending on wether or not the allele for wings was dominent or not.) or inserted artificially into her cells before she even became a real baby. a feat impossible in this era and the next. Such deductions resulted in the hypothesis that she wasn't fully human, part of another species hidden on Earth. He looked at her curiously, interest blooming in his eyes.

Breeze

I simply stared at him for a moment before I sighed and slowly stretched out my wings. "My father...was an angel." I said to him and I looked away from his curious gaze. It made me uncomfortable to be looked at like a science experiment...a freak of nature. I knew I'd never make it in the real world. People would be scared of me. They would want to run tests and ask questions I probably didn't have answers to. I bit my lip and glanced back up at him. "I'm a Nephilim. Half angel, half human."

Akira observed the sketch of the airship with spiking interest. Madam Rose was correct that the idea seemed rather mad. How exactly would they obtain something of such grandeur when they were currently so short on funds?
“This is your idea?” Akira murmured aloud thoughtfully, then, moving back some, she added, “It does not seem as if we are left with a decent number of choices, but how do you propose we acquire this mechanism in our present state?”

I stop purring once I notice the boy has heard me. Maybe I should change forms? A dog would be too big, a mouse has bad hearing, a raven is too obvious... Nah, Its better to stick with my cat forms. A small cat will do, but a wildcat is both small and wild; suits me well. The boy was amazing, I could listen to him for the rest of my days. I tuck my paws until my chest and settle down. He didn't look like he was going anywhere soon, so may as well get comfy. But now I started to feel guilty, should I have snuck into his room to listen? Probably not... Should I have hidden away under the bed? Probably not... should I reveal myself? I wouldn't dare...

Morag, thourally bored with the flute for the moment sets it aside with a sigh - back on the stand on his desk and takes his viola from the case on the bed - still tuned from when he'd set it aside a few minutes ago and begins to play the now familliar and eerie tune. The song he is writing is one that has haunted him, and thus any who hear it in every moment... And the thoughts the song brings? He dares not to pay attention to them.

"Well...we could sell the orphanage..." She frowned and played with a peice of her hair thoughtfully "I know a friend who could help us with this idea..." She smiled "hopefully, we'll be able to get a very low price." She spun around in her chair "Isn't this idea so wonderfully mad?"
