I walked through the woods, keeping my senses alert, and my body ready in case of any danger. My ears flicked, as i trudged through the denser part of the woods. Trying to distance myself away from.... everyone actually. Sighing softly, i sat on a nearby log. A hollow one, but a log. Still keeping my guard up, i decided to take a short.. rest, yeah, a rest. "Man... I wish, there was some place safe to live in, for now." I sighed, as i listened to the birds in the woods, call out to others of their own kind. I flicked my black tail and stood up, stretching and licking my lips slowly.

Walking back down the path i came from, I decided to re-trace my steps. I walked along the well-worn trail, until i cam across a small stream. Walking up to it, i stopped and sniffed the air cursorily, wondering if it was safe to go near. Finding no scent, i walked slowly towards it. Crouching down on it's bank, i watched how the river flowed by the rocks, some covering those rocks, some just simply flowing around them, the larger ones anyway. Sighing i sat down -finally- on the side of the bank, and looked around, almost certain that no one was around. But you could never be too sure. Especially when your the Hybrid, and there are humans among us.
