He dropped his backpack on the bed and looked about the room. "Oliver" He looked back at her in the doorway. "You can come in if you want"

Claire slowly walked in and sat on the bed. "So.. what brings you here?'

"A change in scenery and faces. My town in England was cool and all, but I wanted something other than a small shop and nagging relatives around" He smiled and flicked on the light.

Velta rested at a corner of a street. She wasn't sure where she was, but it was away from Ember and that other girl. She put her veil back on, and shrank her needle, which she put in her pocket.

I smile and shake her hand. A tat shows when I stretch to shake it. I don't show them to regular people, or much of anybody. I pray she did't see anything.

"Oh. I don't really know what it's like to have a family.." Claire's gaze would stay on the floor. Nibbling on her bottom lip.

He looked up from unzipping his backpack, his eyebrows curving up slightly. "Really? I'd only known my parents for the first three years of my life, but.... I'd always had my grandparents. They were almost all I had left" He sighed. Brushing a hand through his hair, he pulled a phone out of his backpack.
