"Sorry, but I had other things to do. Besides, you guys are boooring." He looked around the room. He recognized the blind girl from the forest earlier. He wondered why they kidnapped her, but, whatever. His ruby was still tucked into his pocket, but it was barely glowing. It seemed like it didn't want to be noticed.

The sapphire continued to glow weakly, as though it were connected to the girl herself. And since she was sick and weak...Anyway, it could only barely call to it's partner. She stumbled a bit as she reached the sink, getting a glass of water and some pills. She spilled half the water over her hands, in the process of swallowing the pills with it.

Vito smirks from under his mask. "This is going to get interesting," he mutters, glancing first at Max, then at Ember. Deanne just cocks her head slightly, her enjoyment of the scene evident in her eyes and her sneer.

Ember ignores the two, then stiffens as she recognizes the voice from the forest earlier. She puts up a protective force field around herself of wind and fire swirling at hurricane force, but silent. She focuses directly at Max, ignoring the other people around her. "Max, you don't have to do this. You can break free. You may not think it, but you're strong enough to." She narrows her eyes slightly. "But I will fight you if I have to. And if that happens, and we both get out alive, I swear, I will kill you."

D backed up a little when Ember made a force field. "Hot head." He muttered, then slowly walked atound her to the other side of the room. "So what exactly are we doing?" He asked.

Max smiled before closing his eyes and summoning a giant flaming serpant. He opened his eyes and looked at Ember "your powers are no match for my serpant. The serpent is able to use the others opponants powers as fuel" he said this as the serpant absorbed Embers powers making it grow biger and even stronger "are you sure this is what you want to do?" Max questioned

Paul smiled as he watched his son "so it seems he is stronger than we thought" he said softly with a chuckle. he looked at D "that is a great question. All we wanted to do was capture Anelle and then these brats showed up. them my pathetic son took Ben and sacrificed himself to save his friends and then this happened" he spoke softly

Nick also watched and remained silent.

"Pfft. Saving his friends? Lame." D wasn't the type for saving his friends. He didn't really have friends. As the ruler of an entire country, actually, he was the ruler of his two enemies as well, he didn't have time for friends.

Ember didn't miss the comment, but chose to ignore it, seeing as it was quite literal. Her hair was glowing and smoking as she went into full fire/wind mode. She dodged the snake and pulled down the force field quickly, making sure that it toppled on Nick and Paul. Then she rolled away from the serpent's jaws and over to a table, where she snatched up two stray water bottles. She sprayed water from both at the same time and aimed it at the serpent. It fizzled out, and she made a white hot fireball in her hands, her eyes full of anger and annoyance as she looked at Max. "I guess we're going with the we-fight-now-I-kill-you-later option," she says, making the fireball into a flaming hand and connects it with her own, making it slap Max across the face. If that didn't make him snap out of it, I don't know what will, she thinks, holding a fighting stance.

Vito and Deanne stumble back as the fight starts. They exchange glances, and Vito goes to get reinforcements.

D watched in amazement for a couple of minutes. "Right, see you guys later." He teleported outside of the building. It wasn't his fight, and he didn't want to he affected by it.

Jess gasped softly as she felt the cold of the water hit the back of her throat. She shuddered as the meds went down, she smiled a little bit and stumbled back out of the kitchen. She shifted into wolf form, racing from the house to try and make herself feel better til the pills worked their magic...
