Terrified, Amber bolted down the corridor and outside through the front doors. She started to spread her wings and started flying, hoping that Aleak wouldn't be able to catch her

He panted and moved weakly, having returned to normal. "Am...ber..." he moaned even weaker. He didn't even sit up before he collapsed.

Amber heard him and quickly fled back down. Still, she kept her distance, knowing that maybe the demon was still there and could jump out of nowhere. A few heartbeats later, she ran up to him and hugged him. "It's okay." she whispered and kept silent, wondering what was Aleak thinking. "It's okay, you didn't hurt me, everything is alright."

Aleak groaned and wrapped his arms around her, dropping his head gently onto her shoulder. His arms tightened around her as he pretty much held her. "I'm sorry... You saw... That..." he mumbled softly.

"Don't worry, I'm completely fine." Amber said and smiled a bit sad. She tried to get the demon out of her head but it was impossible. "Are you okay?"

He nodded and held her closer. "I'm sorry... I'm so sorry." His voice sounded weak and sad. Almost agonizing. "That was the last thing I wanted you to see. I'm so sorry." Although his voice didn't sound like he was crying but his tears slowly soaked through her shirt. He felt really hurt. He hurt her and he knew it.

Amber stroked his hair in silence as he apologized to her. She knew she should probably leave him alone, but she wouldn't do that ever in a million years. They stayed there for a while, not even a sound. "It was kind of my fault returning to look for you though I knew it was stupid and dangerous." she said.

Aleak held her closer and gently nuzzled his cheek against hers. "Don't think like that. I appreciate it." His arms held her closer, as if he was protecting her. "I just wish to make sure you don't get hurt." He mumbled softly.

Amber started laughing but not like a maniac, just like a small, soft laugh and she rested her head on his shoulder. "Aleak, I am not unable to protect myself." she murmured with a half smile. "Sometimes you get too overprotective." she looked up at his eyes. "I like that."
