((Okay the, I'll start~ Oh, and Akitcougar is the new mod!))
Damian groaned at the barrage of unexpected sunlight that shone through his open window, hitting him in the face. Muttering quietly to himself, he swung his feet over the side of the bed, and slowly pulled on his shoes. Outside his open window he could hear the chatter of the Silver City of Ellavorn waking up, the hustle and bustle of carts creaking down the winding cobblestone pathway. The inn he was staying at had rather thin walls, so he hadn't gotten much sleep, and besides that he had tossed and turned about how on Earth-Middle he was going to find his "companions" in such a large city. Moving slowly, he got dressed, pulled his cloak and travels belt on, and slipped his dagger into his boot. He ambled out of his room and down into the deserted main room of the inn that doubled as a tavern. Men were splayed across tables, mugs of beer still clutched in the hands, chairs were spewed ever where; it looked like a war zone to say the least. Damian picked his was through the bodies, weaving forward until he reached the counter where a very tired young girl was standing. He pulled out his coin purse and plopped two silver dragults on the table. The girl sleepily took them and stowed them away, waving him off. Damian could have afforded better, he knew that, but he was trying to save what money he could. Once again he weaved through the strewn bodies and chairs to the door. He pulled it open, and stepped out into the morning light.
Kali slipped through the crowds of people already awake and bustling through the twisting streets of the city. She held her satchel clutched close to her, she wasn't the only pickpocket in Ellavorn, not by a long shot. Besides, that bag was all she had in her name. It was filled with a small coin purse, some old spell books, her red witches cloak, a bit of healing ointment and herbs, some cloth and rope, a stale loaf of bread, and most importantly, her wand. The sword she had come across not more than a month ago in an abandoned troll cave hit her thigh with ever step she took, and she mentally reminded herself to find someone who could help her adjust it. But first, and more importantly, food. Kali scoured for a bakery, a smile breaking out on her face when she spotted one. She ducked in, eyeing the counters of bread and pasteries with a watering mouth. Silently and swiftly she snuck a meat roll into her bag before giving a curt nod to the plump baker before slipping back out into the city streets. She promptly devoured it whole, and reached into her bag to dig out her coin purse, when the wand caught her eye. Glowing faintly, it pulsed when she picked it up. Kali's head shot up and she scanned the crowd.
