Disguises and Deceit (Not accepting!)

(Ignore my last post. I reread the introduction.)
Jane was walking through the forest. She was tired and hungry. She suddenly stumbled upon a town. "Hello? is anyone there?" She looked around, trying to find someone.

Lyra tripped out of the forest and fell to the ground, groaning. She had a deep cut on her leg for some sort of animal she had come across in there.

A redhaired young woman runs out of a house and through the gate of the wall. "Hello! I am Olive! Welcome to our town!" She says to Jane.

Darken flew through the air with a blank expression on his face but cruelty and hate within his eyes. Darken landed on a stone wall and put his hands into his pockets, his wings open and he yawned. "Hn....where is this place?" He mumbled silently to himself and folded his wings to his back. Darkens eyelids drooped lazily because he'd been flying all night without a moments rest. He sat down on the stone wall and out his head on his palm.

Jane smiled. "Hello, Olive. I'm Jane. I don't mean to be a bother, but do you have any food or drink? I'm famished!"

"Hello! Who are you? Welcome!" A beautiful young lady with long blonde hair called up to Darken.

Lyra made her way painfully to the gate. "One second." Olive said to Jane and called over to a young man with the same hair colour as her, who was probably her brother. He ran out with some bandages over to Lyra.
"Sorry!" Olive said to Jane. "Of course, we have food for everyone!"

(Are we doing this roleplay in past tense or present tense?)

Jane smiled and rubbed the back of her neck. "Good. I also need a place to stay. I hope I'm not asking to much."

Darken grunted out a, "Hn." and he tuned around, flicking his black scaled tail. Darken glanced at the place within the walls. It's too perfect... Darken thought to himself.

"Of course not!" Olive smiled at Jane. "Come this way!" She lead Jane to a room with food and a pitcher of water on a tray, and then left. "Enjoy!"

"My name's Lin!" The blonde woman called to Darken. "Do you need food? Water? A place to stay?"

The man, whose name Lyra soon found out was Paul, helped her inside and sat her down on a chair. In a hushed voice he said to her as he was putting on her bandages, "Listen, don't tell anyone I told you this, but it's really important, you need to know-" Suddenly Olive walked in. "Hi Paul! Looks like you're done helping Lyra out, come with me! The mayor wants to talk to you." "Oh... Uh... Okay." As they were walking out, Paul whispered "Sorry, I'll try to tell you later!" Lyra wondered how Olive had known her name, but didn't question it.

Jane smiled and followed her. She started eating and drinking the water. "Mmmmmmm. This is so good!!!!!"
