The Ghosts: A Medieval Rp (Done with already.)

Jessica watches, with a slight growl, she scooped up the kitten when he was done, carefully, she stroked her fur, and she set her on the table, carefully, giving her a full bowl of milk. She watched the stranger, with narrowed eyes, and then sat down again, she carefully, drew out 5 gold coins, and paid the store person. Then she said, "I better get going... we do have a meeting tonight."

'Oh, you can tell?' Lyra said, keeping the grin on. 'Why, because of this?' She pulled back the hood of her faded grey cloak, pretty much identical to those worn by all the Ghosts, though she'd modified hers to have sleeves so it hung more like a coat. 'Or is it because I happen to be hanging at at the Thorny Rose? You must be a real Sherlock.' She watched interestedly as the fog engulfed the kitten, and was almost disappointed when not much else happened. 'Hey look, he fixed it.' She said, pretending to be happier about it than she was. The kitten looked a bit less scrappy, but other than that, no different. A bit anti climatic. It would have been more interesting if it had exploded, though Jessica probably wouldn't have been best pleased.

"No, I can see that when I say Ghosts you dont have the look of fear or awe in your eyes that nothing can hide." replies the man without any other explaination. He stands as well when Jessica gets up, polite. " Why? The meeting is here." he murmmers just loud enough for her to hear. And he can guess that his 'show' wasnt interesting; but if someone broke their leg, or was bleeding it would be. He mentally shrugs the idea away and draws his cloak around himself all the tighter. Mor pulls the other glove on and waits.

Jessica said, "I need to get something from my room." She curtsied, and walked over to the hallway, she opened her door, with her key, that she always had on her.

'I don't know, you seem to be doing a pretty good job of hiding your eyes.' Lyra said. Between them being obscured by the cloak and just being hard to look at she had no idea what emotions were going on in them. She'd have to learn that trick, though she suspected it was probably a Gift. 'If I get me a hood like that I reckon I'm set. Don't you ever trip up? I mean, wearing your hood that low helps with the whole mysterious-Stranger aura you've got going, but doesn't it get in the way of your eyes every now and then?' She chatted easily. She looked up as Jessica left the table, then turned back to Morag, figuring Jess would come back again eventually.

Once again the Stranger has to smile. "Perhaps at first I had problems. But not anymore. Think of it this way, a person who's hair is in their face learn to see through it right? I've learned to see around the cloak." He takes a seat across from her this time, but his hands are on the table as close to himself as possible, tugs the sleaves of his white shirt down again. "The Cloak has become apart of me, it is easy to work with it. Take a bow for an example, one you've been shooting with since you were a child -isnt that easier than a brand-new one? Or a horse; you know how they'll move in all the ways they'll move if you ride them for a week." his voice is laced with humor and he smiles so wide that his teeth flash in the gloom. "It is like that. Do I make you uncomfortable Miss Lyra that you cannot see me?"

'Well, I've never used a bow or ridden a horse, but I'll take your word for it.' Lyra said. 'And it takes more than covering your face to make me feel uncomfortable.' She added, forcing herself to stare straight at him with an even gaze, pointedly ignoring the disconcerting feel. 'So, no, not uncomfortable at all. But it is a bit anti social. I mean, my face is on display now,' though if a peacekeeper came in you could guarantee that would change pretty quickly, 'but I can't see you at all. I don't know where you're actually looking, or what your expressions are. If you hadn't shown your hand earlier I wouldn't even know the colour of you skin, let alone guess your age. I'm pretty sure of your gender at least.'

(Yeah, sorry, I'm on my phone, and between the tiny keys and warped spell check bits do become a but unreadable, though I normally correct all that before posting)

Jessica went to her room, and grabbed a black and purple necklace, from her dresser. She put it on, and she smiled, she picked up, a hairbrush, and brushed her hair. Then she fixed it up, putting a red clip in it. She whisked out of the room, and back to the tables with Lyra, and the Stranger. She set her cat back down, and sat down herself. Then she smiled, "I had to crush my hair, and get this." She pulled out her purple and black necklace.

"I appologize Miss Lyra." says the Stranger quietly. He had stood he moment he'd seen Jessica and then takes his seat again."You looked just fine before Miss Jessica." Morag complements and then swallows, with one glove-encased hand slowly pushes the hood of the storm-and-charcoal cloak back to reveal his face; his jaw is set as his tarnished silver hair falls into pewter eyes, a five-oclock shadow dusts his cheeks, a brilliantly white smile in a dark tan with twin dimples. But anyone can see that he isnt older than twenty-five years old and exotically handsome from the way the taverna-maid is staring at him; the smile fades into a look of sad acceptance in those strange eyes. "This is why I dont show my face." is all he says.

'Nothing to be sorry for, I was just kidding with you.' Lyra said, but only after he'd removed the hood to the point were she could see his face a little, she was interested. 'Ah, premature greyness.' She nodded knowingly, but her her eyes were still lit with amusement. 'I can see why you must hide the shame.' She grinned. 'Seriously though, I'd say if you've got it, flaunt it, and with a face like that you don't need to hide it. Though it is pretty memorable if you're trying to go unnoticed.' Not that covering himself head to foot in grey and riding an expensive looking horse did much to help him blend in, but still, it was a start.
