Adriana[i/]
Sunlight streamed through the gaps in between the leaves hanging from long-limbed trees, causing patters of shadow and yellow light to paint the read head's face. She walked quietly through the thick forest. In a matter of seconds, she could feel the little prickles of water droplets on her shoulder. She groaned, the leaves not compact enough to keep her dry. Far ahead she saw a small cottage. Although banged up, the roof was intact enough to keep her dry.
[i]Constance
Constance rocked in her chair in rhythm to the patter of rain against the sloping roof. She was in her room, brushing her lilac colored hair that fell smoothly in between her shoulder blades. Suddenly, she heard the shut of a door.
Oh, we have guests! she thought. A voice seeped through the floorboards and into her ears, one asking if anyone was home. Constance didn't reply, just painted a mischievous smile on her pale face. She heard echoing footsteps on the stairs, and then the girl's voice again-
"Hello?" Finally, Constance's bedroom door squeaked open. Constance was only visible in the vanity mirror, and one look at the rusted reflector, the girl screamed so loud she could probably be heard miles away.
