Shadow blushed in embarrassment. "Thanks." She trembled in front of him, and she felt dazed. This is the first time I have shown weakness. She thought. Her mind was a whirlwind of fear, pain, and misery and underlying calmness.

Cat wrapped her arm around his waist an looks up at his dreamy eyes. Should I just ask him out?

Shard blinked her eyes. "Is this what you felt when you lost your parents?" She asked miserably.

Jake closed his eyes, and nodded. As if quickly realizing what he was doing he jerked up and started walking forward.

Shadow looked after him curiously. "Are you okay?" She asked wiping her puffy eye sockets with her shirt sleeve.

Jake nodded robotically,Gave her a half smile, and slowed enough for her to catch up.

Tyler stops. "Cat... I've been wondering....would you like ummmm....." He trailed on with his sentence awkwardly.

After packing all of her stuff Serenity called Chanler and asked him to help her move. When he arrived she pointed to a few boxes and grabbed a bag,leading him up to the new room. "Thanks for helping bro. I'm surprised you aren't with Shadow." She said as they climbed the stairs.

Chanler shrugged. "She wanted to be alone." He said and followed the rest of the way in silence.

Serenity sighed. "Never believe a girl when she says she wants to be alone! It means she's either out f***ing someone or she's sad." She told Chanler after all her stuff was moved.

"Well I guess I should go find her." Chanler said before shifting and bounding off towards the woods.

Jake realized how stupid he was acting and apologized. He smiled down at her wiping a tear from her cheek.
