Rosilina sighs, looking through the market. She checks what she's bought so far, and then chews her lip as she counts how much gold she has left. "Hopefully it'll be enough to get the last thing I need," she mutters. She scans the shops, looking for the thing. At last, she reaches the last shop, and looks at the window display thoughtfully.

(Anyone open for Rosilina?)

I could do little more than allow myself to be dragged about like a child would be by her impatient mother who had many things to do. The girl was definitely much stronger than she looked but I was skilled in the art of killing so it wasn't as if I couldn't easily get her to release her hold on me. A faint chuckle escaped me as I listened to the girl chatter on about things that I hardly paid any attention to. I did however catch her name and not much after that. It was a terrible habit that I longed to break but my ears only liked to pick up the important information and nothing more. Of course I already knew the young girl's name seeing as I'd observed very many things throughout the day but I wouldn't tell her that. Instead, I opted for remaining silent, only giving the occasional chuckle and a nod of thanks when she held the door open for me.

With a mischievous smile gracing my lips I strode into the store and let my eyes linger on things that caught my eye starting with the attractive male in the room. He was much taller than myself and underneath the tattered clothing he wore there were bound to be muscles and maybe a few scars. Shaking my head I fought to keep myself in check as I went about the store, just browsing mindlessly for anything I liked other than the boy who'd enticed me in an instant. For me, fashion had never truly mattered unless I was going to a gathering of some sort where my intended target would be. A bit of poison in their wine would do the trick and I would slip out unnoticed. Maybe it was time that I began dressing properly. No, I was terribly fond of corsets but maybe something formfitting and comfortable would be more suitable since I needed something I could fight and sneak around in.

D a n t a l i o n.
Mercenary
-> Completing a job

The quick movement was elegant as the sharp blade slit the man's throat, not a sound escaping his lips before the deed was done. "Tsk, I dulled the blade." he muttered, taking out a spare cloth as he wiped his weapon clean of the red evidence. The job was done well, at least. Quickly and efficiently in a dark alley. No one would find the bodies any time soon. Of course, at present, there was only one corpse. However, the mercenary had keen ears and did not falter to notice the silent footsteps of their follower. Dantalion turned quickly as heard the swoosh of the long blade, meeting it with his dagger.

His attempted murderer frowned, taking a step back. With the split second of time he was gifted, Dantalion grabbed for his other dagger, a twin to the dulled one, and took his stance. "You are a little too late to save your master." he crowed, a twisted smile on his lips. The man let out an angry muffled noise, lunging at the demonic man blindly. Dantalion side-stepped him twice, going on defense. He might as well tire his opponent out before killing him a merciless death. His opponent lunged again and failed. "Boring." Dantalion commented, finally attacking. The man tried blocking the dagger, only to have his sword flicked away and ending up unarmed.

Dantalion noticed a tear on his sleeve, finding it odd that he hadn't noticed it. Oh well. He hit the cowering man in front of him in the side, knocking him down. Before the man could recover, Dantalion was upon him like a hawk to a mouse, his blood red eyes meeting the coward's, a wicked smile on his lips. "Give your master my hellos." and plunged the dagger deep into his chest, watching as the man drew his last breath. When all was done, he sheathed the dagger from the man's body with a heavy sigh. "I'll have to get my sleeve mended... Or I could buy a new coat. I'm sure I saw a silk shop nearby..." he said to himself, pondering which way would be fastest to the market.

Autumn Lancaster
Foreign Princess
-> Fustrated

The amount of people talking at one time overwhelmed her. There were the advisors, throwing angry glances at her and the King, and the Nobles who dared speak against them. The Nobles, who were torn between siding with the King or his Advisors. Ren, who was trying not to get himself killed and was doing a rather poor job at it. And herself. By the time the decrease of family tax and increase of imported goods was suggested, Autumn had sat back in her seat, face in her hands. Such division for decisions would have never occurred in her country. Nor in this one, had it been but a few months ago. It was the lack of loyalty to the King that was causing this. Back when Ren's father ruled, no one had dared question his just and fair opinions.

She looked to the other princess sitting next to her, one of the few who wasn't bickering like a child. A small growl made it to her ears, and she noticed it was coming from the princess's stomach. Silently, she grabbed one of the buttered breads from her tray, passing it to the girl without a word.

The Advisors

Few of them spoke besides Thomani and Curain. The advisors were more like venomous snakes than barking dogs after all. Thomani had been about to reply to Ren with a clever remark, but was silenced by Curain's cold gaze. The talkative, impulsive advisor was going to get what was coming to him, that was for sure. Meanwhile, once the offer was proposed for the family tax decrease and import tax increase, Curain spoke up above the other voices. He cleared his throat, "How about it, your majesty? Noble Lancresh's offer has been proposed. I am sure my friends agree to it."

Of course they didn't. But they couldn't keep up this bickering for much longer. They would have to raise the people's tax another day.

[-gasps for breath- so. much. writing. Anyway, I'm sorry for the lack of elaboration on the Advisor's side. Kiro, if you want to improvise with them, you are free to do so. ^^ ]

{Lady Acelline of House Orleans}
Acelline sat back the whole time, just listening to the bickering over taxes and whatever little problems they had. She could care less about the politics and issues going on, what she cared about was looking harmless so she could strike easier later on. If she spoke up she would add a small target to her back courtesy of the advisors and she would be speaking out of turn; a lady should only speak when spoken to.
Leaning back in her chair, Acelline proceed to chew on her thumb nail and allow herself to satisfy one of the many habits she had that didn't quite fit into the 'perfect lady' picture she needed to fit. "This is ridiculous." She says under her breath, not changing how she behaved to avoid giving away the fact that she was the one who spoke.

Drake 'Red'

Mood: Curious, cautious.
Company:Raven, Tatiana.

I had been exploring the silk store for a few minutes undisturbed and was just starting browsing a selection of red silks. That was when the front door opened and in walked an apparent young child with a young woman in tow. I glanced up at them for a moment before watching them from the corner of my eye. I watched as the young girl called out for her father, informing him of customers. The older woman kept her eyes on me for a second or two long then most others before quickly looking away. I appeared to have peaked he interest and this concerned me. I then busied my self on inspecting the crimson rolls before, but always keeping an eye on this woman. She gave me a strange feeling that I hadn't felt before.
To each there own. Mine, however, is what everyone else has.

When in doubt go left.

An almost gleeful smile stretched across my lips as I turned my back to the male who seemed to be just as curious as myself. Unfortunately his curiosity seemed much more innocent than my own. That could change though. He would make such an interesting new toy for the time being. A bit of flirting and maybe a stolen kiss or two was all I desired since I seemed to have very little to do these days. As it was I tended to find females much more attractive and while this male was admittedly cute, he would only be kept around for maybe a few days or until I found someone more interesting or attractive. Then again, he could always just be prey for one such as myself.

It had been quite some time since I had made a kill and slitting that pretty throat of his was such a tempting thought. Sighing wistfully I busied myself with looking through the many different colors before me, not quite sure which one would be most fitting. More often than not I preferred to dress myself in all black but that could change if I found something that I liked. Even so, I found myself distracted by the boy who was definitely watching me. Although my back was turned, I could feel his eyes on me. He definitely wasn't an assassin of any sort seeing as he had broken a very important rule. Look without looking. Every soft rustle of fabrics or the soft shuffling of his feet on the floor easily told me where he was and while ogling him shamelessly wasn't above me, I decided against it lest I scared him off. "It isn't polite to stare."

→ silk merchant by day, magician by night [tia, post four]

Postby celestiaa » Fri Aug 16, 2013 5:19 pm

TATIANA LYCORIS

>> the name's tia: silk merchant by day, magician by night
tagged: rosabella, drake [and soon dantalion, i think...]

▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀

    I looked curiously between the boy in tattered grey clothes and the girl in the black cape, sensing a strange sort of energy flitting between them. Judging from the covert smirks and glances they were shooting at each other, it looked like they had some history together -- or were about to make some, at any rate. I brushed my hand over a rather magnificent display of red and gold-embroidered silk, wishing desperately that my father would come out from the back room. In the meantime, I walked over to the back counter a little hastily, wishing to get out of the cross-fire of simultaneously mutinous and flirtatious looks the two were sending off. Next to the small register where customers could pay for their items -- there was a notebook there, too, where I had to record each and every sale made -- there was a folded pile of dark, heavy material that I had considered putting out this morning. The cloth was nowhere as fine as the silk currently laid out around the shop, and the deep wine-reds and burgundies were too gloomy for the beginning of the spring, but with the curious customers I had to deal with right now, I decided that there wasn't any harm in showing them, at least.

    Just as I was about to hurry out from the counter, fabric in hand, the girl decided to break the palpable silence that was hanging in the shop like an oppressive cloud. I winced at her choice of words -- I could practically feel her oozing flirtatiousness. Sort of asking for it, aren't you? I thought, though I wisely decided to keep my mouth shut. Instead, I busied myself with the fabric, suddenly very interested in counting all of its stitches. It was never considered good customer service if you went barging into two strangers' conversation, anyway -- even though I had quite an opinion on just what age girls should be making eyes like that at older men. I swallowed inaudibly, though the action was like gulping down a mouthful of marbles for me -- keeping quiet had never been one of my strong suits. I'd give anything to be out of here, I thought mournfully, longing for my thick navy cape and my magic tricks and the spring breeze running through my hair.

    [[ i'll leave rosabella & drake to their little encounter, so tia/the silk shop is open. i suggest you wait at the door before entering though, so you don't barge in on the aforementioned pair's ... situation. tia will be watching the door, of course -- so yeah. ^w^ ]]

Drake "red"

Mood:Startled, mischievous.
Company:Tatiana, Raven.

At first I was a little surprised when they responded to my watching. I quickly recovered realizing that only people who need that kind of perception where paranoid nobles and the lower end of society. Judging for her clothes I figured her end of the scale and decided to tease her a bit. "I'm terribly sorry madam, but its hard not to stair at one with such artier." I stated in a polite tone while giving a slight bow.
To each there own. Mine, however, is what everyone else has.

Ravyn Knight

Foreign Crown Princess
Female
18
Ravyn bit her lip, this was not going well, this might be just the meeting that got the king killed but it might atleast stop his subjects from starving, she wasn't sure who's side she should be own and just could think straight. When Autumn passed her a piece of bread she smiled, nodding in thanks she took a small bite. Keeping her eyes on the advisors at all times she went through what her options were in her head, stand up for the king and his side or sit here like the little puppet that she might be if the king died and she was chosen as the new monarch.

Jayden Day

Royal Guard in Training
Male
16
Jayden walked over to the now closed doors of the courtroom. It would be his job to stand outside and not let anyone in. He couldn't hear what was going on through the thick mahogany doors he was standing in front of. If anyone came he would have to knock, enter, tell the advisors and do whatever they told him to do from there.

I am open to any 1x1 roleplays, pm me if you would like to do one it would be better if you were in a time zone close to AEST (10+) so that we could both be online at similar times. If you have any low semi-lit to semi-lit role plays that are historical, wolf, warrior cat, humanoids (not based of anything) or Harry Potter themed then pm me the link and I will look at them.

Now that things were out in the open between myself and the stranger I found myself growing more and more intrigued by the second. A light chuckle helped to dispel the silence in the shop as I finally turned to face the male. My eyes wandered over his form in an almost bored manner, as if I wasn't at all impressed by him and his good looks. While many may have seen me as a harlot by the way I was behaving, I could honestly care less. Guys like him always seemed to have something that I wanted more than petty affections and I wasn't really a materialistic girl but I wasn't above using my good looks to further my abilities as a thief.

Fortunately for him, it didn't seem as if he'd be able to offer anything more than a few fleeting moments of faked romantic interests. His words meant little to me so I ignored the jibe but the teasing lilt in his voice irked me much more than I was willing to let on. Maybe I could go with killing him instead. "I really do hate being called madam. It makes me feel particularly old and I am anything but. Nevertheless I suggest you keep those wandering eyes to yourself before you lose them." Once again my words seemed to come out as a purr that I wished would go away.

Such a suggestive tone hadn't scared Tatiana off though so I was sure that the boy would be fine. Still, I couldn't help the smirk that tugged at the corners of my mouth. Maybe I could goad him into a bit of sparring if I was lucky. Then again I was sure he wouldn't be willing to even consider the idea. My thoughts wandered a bit as I caught a glimpse of the aforementioned girl who seemed to want to approach but busied herself with other things instead. She looked as if she had wanted to say something yet she remained quiet. What had happened to her cheerful and charismatic attitude from before?
