”Heh, most people aren't too fond of it,” Shizuka chuckled in reply to Wince who commented on her house, apparently having grown quickly amazed by it.
Shizuka opened up her food storage, taking out some cooked deer meat that she had obtained only a day or two ago. Along with that, she grabbed two plastic plates, then distributed the meat equally among them.
“Eat up,” Shizuka smiled, handing over a plate to Wince and Hari.
Moments later, however, she picked up the obnoxiously loud sound of banging from her trapdoor. “One minute,” She sighed to her guests, then made her way to the trapdoor, hopping down and locking it tightly behind her.
The basement was pitch black, making it near impossible to see what had been the problem. Having no matches on hand, she summoned her glowing dagger, giving the room ominous purple lighting. The walls, now clearly lit, were stained with splatters of blood both fresh and old. To the side stood a long table holding a number of what appeared to be simple torture tools. Along the other sides of the room were aligned three empty cages for each side.
Taking a step forward, Shizuka tripped on a figure laying on the ground. Angrily, Shizuka scrambled to her feet, towering over the figure who had been in her way. It was a young girl, around the same age as Shizuka, her bindings apparently cut loose. She had been a prisoner here, torn away from her sister days ago, and it was clear that she was the source of the irritable sound in an attempt to escape. However, she had collapsed from exhaustion, now unconscious on the blood stained floor.
Kneeling down to the motionless girl's level, Shizuka chuckled, “Seems like big sister never came back for you, hm? No worries, neither did mine. Now then, since you interrupted my guests' visit, you're gonna have to face some punishment! But...I'll hold it off for now...”
Shizuka dragged the girl off to one of the cages, leaving her inside and locking it more securely, hoping she wouldn't escape this time. “Maybe I can get you some company today,” She said to the girl with an encouraging tone, although it certainly wasn't encouraging to the slightest.
Returning to her guests upstairs, Shizuka exclaimed cheerfully, “Nothing to worry about. So, how are you two so far?”
