(( Yeah, but I said it first, Blackbird, so, be quiet. xD. Oh, and I must say, Skarlette's overboard kindness is starting to amuse me. Lol. Poor thing. ))
Laurence Haynseworth :: Subordinate :: Sydon
Laurence, convinced the matter was settled and that Skarlette would be safe and away from all fiendish doctors, began to climb merrily back up the hill he had tumbled down earlier. He opened his mouth, intending on warning Skarlette to stay behind him so that she might not run into the thorn bush, or those jagged rocks, or that presumably flattened animal he had crashed into on his graceless descent down, but he was cut off when she reluctantly said his name. He raised his eyebrows, tilting his head vaguely to the side to show her that he had her attention. However, he stopped abruptly in his tracks once she spoke. "No," he defended like a brash child, his lips scrunched up distastefully. "Not really. I don't think so. Maybe a little. So?" His fumbling words were at first defensive, fading to something of an unwilling meekness of admittance and then suddenly going childishly defensive again, and he wheeled around on his heels to stare down at her at his final question. He lifted his brows expectantly for an answer, his lips pursed.
Sebastian Holmes :: No Rank :: Loner
"Whoa," Sebastian steadied his horse to a halt, his eyes locked on the near sight of central London from his position in the bordering suburbs. He stared at it for a long moment in contemplation, then glancing down to his mare and observing her for a long moment. he had half a mind to leave her, to tie her reins on a fencepost of a nearby neighborhood home and go on more silently on foot, but he also had no intentions of accidentally getting his horse stolen. He clicked his tongue to urge her onwards, deciding that he could still make it back to that old faction he remembered so well even with his horse. Easily enough, he supposed, he could sneak her into the stables and leave her there before going on his pursuit of...her. Elise. His stony expression would have never given away how his stomach bubbled in excitement and churned in anxiety. He had not once spoken to the girl, surely now a woman, in all of the years he had watched her under the cover of shadow. He had always seemed to have an eye for her, always seemed to concern himself over her, ever since the first day he had seen her crippled and beaten form when he and his group had discovered her. He drew in a silent breath and released a heavy sigh. Clearly, things hadn't changed a bit, but, he had to remind himself, she wasn't his sole reason for returning.

"Now," he shut the wooden stall gate and locked it in place, patting his horse's face briefly, "don't go telling on me if these poor fellas wake up before I'm back," he instructed, his stare stern only a moment before he cracked a faint grin. "Something tells me that they won't." He shifted his gaze, as well as his body to look down at the two unfortunate souls that had happened to be in the stables when he arrived. He had absolutely no intentions of being discovered yet so, he did what was then naturally required. He knocked them out. Wham! right over the head with a convenient block of wood. He strode over to the one closest to him, slipping his hands under his arm and dragging him carefully to one of the empty stalls and leaning him up against the wall, doing the same to the other just in case anyone walked in. He looked the two over briefly, frowning in slight pity for the two of them. "Here," he removed his white hat, placing it upon the one who appeared to the the youngest, " watch my hat for me," he instructed as he situated it carefully upon the lad's head, then retracting his hand. "It's just a little too...conspicuous for sneaking about the city," he explained, tipping his head once in departure before turning and exiting the stall, shutting it and locking it before striding out of the stable doors. He sucked in a silent breath, casting an observant gaze over the area before starting off at a silent jog, hoping to find any sign of Elise quickly.
(( Well, there's that. Apparently though, if he does find Elise, he'll just have to stalk her like a creeper for a while, because I don't want to mess up anything between her and Ryan's interactions. Stupid Sebastian and his bad timing. Humph. xD. ))
