"Don't mention it." Shoshone found herself yet again dismissing his thanks. She had never been one with huge numbers of friends. She found friendship in a very select few people, often not trusting anyone else, "Everyone needs a friend. In a place like this, it's good to have much more."

Zemos rested his forehead against the bars, "Maybe I do." He gave in finally. Sleep did not at all sound appealing to him at the time, though. Testing days always set him on edge, concerned that all of them would be pulled back out. While being near to Genie offered some security, it also made him more reluctant to let his mind escape from reality, "It's rather hard to rest with all of them screaming like five year olds." He pointed out and pulled his hand back through the bars, not wanting to make her uncomfortable. The possibility hadn't crossed his mind before that.
